I was browsing listings for fun today and I saw this car:

Never seen an RS6 with leather/Alcantara seats before. Notice the front seats don't have "RS6" emblazoned on them but the rears do. Was this a factory option, Audi Exclusive, or a custom job? I kinda like it ;)

Not that I know of. My B5 S4 did though and there were no model stitching on those seats. Maybe someone did a swap.

Those are probably from an S6.

I know that a certain dentist in Oceanside/Carlsbad area has Alcantra seat = no sliding around in corners (Recaros they are not, but a decent substitute).

Those are probably from an S6.I don't believe the S6 had white piping - only the RS6 did?? Look how 'tired' they look. Definately something I would never do.

I think it's just the angle of the lighting making them look dirty. In one of the other photos they look fine.

I was gonna say S6 as well, until I saw the white piping. Must be a custom job. I have sliver alcantra on my B5 S4, and after 14 years it is looking tired.

That's how the my B5 seats ended up too. From what I have seen, the newer Audi seats seem to wear a bit better.

^ ya but isn't that a imported euro interior? Whatever it is, it's dead sexy.

Holy crap nene! Now that's some nice looking Alcantra.

Edit; Alcantara, excuse me...

Oof, that looks nice! My S4 had the leather/Alcantara combo and so does my BRZ; I love it because it doesn't make you burn or freeze and it holds you in place, but you still slide into the seat thanks to the leather bolsters.

Those are from a Euro Spec RS6 interior that I imported many years ago. It was all leather, and before I installed it on my RS6 I decided to get the center portions redone with Alcantara. I used the same color as the Alcantara in the roof liner. It came out nice. Still in great shape too.

mine has the half Alcantara half leather of both front and rear seats, looks like it is how it was originally configured, and it does look great after 150k miles and lots of super hot days here :) .

Compared to the regular Recaro Euro seats that i had on my first RS6, these are much better, they don't get as hot as the full leather ones when car's left out in the sun, not that cold on a "cold" morning that can be here and much more grip in it.

Don't know if it is an exclusive interior, i do know it did come on the Plus edition as an option.

I don't believe the RS6 had alcantara seating in the USA as least as a regular production option. I'm sure if you threw enough money Audi's way you could have ordered a car with it.

I need these seats in my life... getting tired of my wobbly stock seat which doesn't keep my skinny frame from sliding around.

If I were to guess, I would say it was done aftermarket. It doesnt look right, and if the seats were done at the factory then the door panel inserts would be matching alcantara.

On the C5 S6, Alcantara seats were a $500 option. I had them on mine, and they were completely amazing. They wear great, very comfortable, and the best thing is you don't slide around, like someone else mentioned. So much nicer than leather.

BTW, mine had 350,000 kms on them, and they still looked great. Even the leather bolsters were in good shape.

Alcantara holds up very well if it's maintained properly.
