Hi all--

Been a while since we made a concerted effort to sell parts and we are a looking to clear out some room for racing parts in the spring. Most of the big parts are already gone with the exception of the cylinder heads, but we have a list of everything we have left and good photographs of all. Link to the photos and the spreadsheet are below. We have our asking prices listed in the spreadsheet, but we will look at reasonable offers as we would like to get some space back. My son is looking to move into cars from karts, and suddenly the parts got a lot bigger...

Link to the spreadsheet:

If it is not on the spreadsheet we do not have it! In-person inspections highly welcomed in the Albany, NY area. Can ship at buyer's expense on most items. Things like the rear bumper and door regulators with glass could be a bit tricky and would prefer pickup. I can be reached via cell at 623.850.3456 or email at saul (at) photoplace (dot) com.

Just some feedback. The TCU I purchased from you a couple of years ago is DOA. After opening it up it looks like it may have had water damage. Was the car in an accident or flood? Even the outside was a little oxidized.

Hi Mark...I do recall selling it. Went back and it looks like it was almost 3 years ago (3/3/12) and I know you bought a couple other parts from us and I hope those have worked out better. I'm sorry but this is the first I'm hearing there is an issue. I will try to dig out any archived photos I may have and I don't recall it having any oxidation. The car had been wrecked in front end but passenger cabin was intact and there was no water issue that I'm aware of. I don't know if it may have been damaged in shipping or afterwards, but I do make sure I offer a money back guarantee for 14 days after receipt...again we want to only sell good parts and want people to be happy.

Obviously a lot of time has passed...I can't offer a refund but if it helps I'll at least offer some parts to offset the cost. We've sold a lot of parts through here and done a lot to keep folks happy as we do not want to sell any junk...but three years is a LONG time not to hear anything so I hope that offering parts will be acceptable. Take a look at the parts list and PM me what you need. If it's reasonable shipping size I will cover shipping (under $20), anything over would ask that you cover. I checked and cost of the TCU was $149.95 so we can use that as credit?

There must have been some moisture issues on the interior. The instrument cluster that I purchased sat in my garage for a rainy day. Well another forum member needed a cluster so I sold it to him for what I paid and it quickly had issues and he said there was lots of oxidation on the printed circuit board.

All the other trim and soft parts i purchased were perfect.

Very odd...Dave I remember you picking up the soft bits when I still lived in Phoenix and I'm glad they have worked well for you but not happy the cluster did not. Was it anything that was noticeable externally or did he have to take it apart?

Again all, I will offer a 14 day return on all parts less shipping. I really do want to be sure we are only selling good stuff...we have everything photographed in very high resolution and actually still have a lot of sold parts available for view online as folks had emailed me about referencing parts as if you search by a part number quite often our photographs come up on google pretty high up. Hopefully that will help folks be sure they are getting good parts. I'm also VERY open to in person inspections in the Albany, NY area.

Nope

It sat for several years outside during insurance dispute. I didnt wish to touch mechanicals due to this fact. Look at the rust in the cooling jackets of the cylinder heads

Unlike electronics, heads are entirely mechanical. An hour of disassemble and reasembled coupled with a nice acid dip at the machine shop for $20/head and you're like new.

Errrr how does that process work on rusty cam lobes and journals?

Errrr how does that process work on rusty cam lobes and journals? There is no rust on either from what the photos show. Not uncommon to see rust on parts that would not have had an already existing oily residue on them (i.e. sprocket hubs). Those cams look just fine IMO and I have no doubt that popping any number of caps would still see oil on the journals.

Anyway, was just my thoughts. Again, not electronics and entirely mechanical so I wouldn't even bat an eye if I was in the market for a replacement set of heads. Even with 250K on these Cosworth buit engines though, there is no need to replace things just yet. :)

I know you said the list was all you had. BUT I need to ask.

Do you have rear brake calipers and rotors, optionally the whole rear suspension and brake system, rear cargo cover, and/or third row seat?

Not a hurricane sandy car, was in an insurance dispute, no rust that I have seen on lobes and journals as referenced (I haven't taken apart the heads, and I haven't tried to cover up/clean up anything so folks could take a good look...it sat with coolant in it while in dispute and that explains the surface rust on cooling jackets). Take a look at the photos as I've tried to be very detailed and all are very high resolution.

Bottom line, if you are interested in parts take a look at the photos, come see them, or I'm also happy to bring them for inspection to someone you trust in the Albany NY area. I'm also happy to test items that I can (but you may need to walk me through how). I offer a 14 day return policy less shipping to reduce any risk. If these parts can help with your car great...if not that's fine too!

I did find a gallery I had posted a long time ago that had subsections of when my dad bought the car, when it was wrecked and then also photos as we were disassembling. Feel free to take a look. The disassembly photos show it as we got it back. http://www.photoplace.com/Cars/2003-Audi-RS6-Silver

I know I'm not a regular on here, so I'm sure folks may be skeptical. If there is a regular on here (even if not looking to buy parts) that wants to stop by, take a look at how things are organized, what kind of shape parts are in etc certainly happy to do so.
