The car has been a joy during the first 7 months, but I am still in love with the stock 5 spoke wheels that are available in Europe.

After this winter (in March), I want to move to a "summer mode upgrade" with 5 spoke 19"wheels. and the GIAC chip from AWE. I am lined up for the chip, but could use some advise on the wheels. Talking to the folks at Achtuning, they claim the only difference in the replica 19" 5 spoke and the Europe stock wheels is the quality control during production causing a potential for very minor blemishes, with no differences in weight, construction, or performance. Can anyone validate this? The significantly lower price for the replica's gives me reason for concern.

Also, if there is a signifiance performance difference between the two, does any one know where you can buy the stock wheels in Europe and have them shipped?

Any onther comments or suggestions are welcome.

If you don't mind there should be 'copies' ready available.
I think (some of) these 'copies' are made in the same factory as the stock ones, so you wouldn't know the difference unless you watched the price tag.

Sorry I can't recall any web adress for the moment, but I was dealing with a company that wanted to advertise here before.

You can buy them from http://www.champion-motors.com/

At $1k per wheel, I think the Sportec 20's or HRE's are in order.
