They had a Top Gear show a couple of years ago where they had some Chinese clones. Some looked almost identical. One, a X5 clone looked identical but I guess they said the quality was crap. BMW took them to court, of course it was a Chinese court and they said it was not a clone. The Chinese Gov't was basically backing all of the cloning I guess but it's still such a big market that many manufacturers don't want to hurt there sales there by getting on the bad side of a crooked Gov't.
