So my RS6 did not come with a owners manual. It did come with a factory nav and when I open it I see 2 SD card slots and a Cd slot. I tried to play a DVD but that did not work. My question is what is the easiest/cheapest way to connect my iphone to it to play music. Thanks!

I'm not totally sure I understand your question but I think this is what you're looking for:

note: I don't have any personal experience with any of these.

yea it just means it reads dvd rom i believe, i had rns-e in my Rs6 which is what you have, non-factory, OE nav, and i had it in my rs4. in the rs4 i did the same thing you did and tried to play a dvd...no dice, and then i realized oh it just means it reads dvd format data dvd's, i.e. the big nav dvd.

vas160s, post a pic of your unit. You may have a factory RNS-E, never installed in N. American RS6's, got to N. America in 2005 I think but many of us have upgraded to it. But....you may have an aftermarket clone of the RNS-E which is a Chinese knockoff. Does your unit have the SD slots on the front or do you have to push the button for the screen to rotate to get access to them?

I have to push the button to rotate it. Then I see 2 slots. Was hoping to see a USB one lol.

Sorry, you can put MP3's on those cards. If it's a newer one then you can go up to like 64GB or larger SDHC cards but if it is a first Gen unit you are limited to 4GB SD (non-HC) cards. 4GB SD cars are hard to find in non HC format, 2GB are much easier to find so you may just end up with them. The only other benefit I see of the newer units is the TMS (traffic, but then only if you live with busy roads). The newer units have better screens and faster processors but I can hardly tell the difference.

To play pandora or stream bluetooth you could choose a Motorola Roadster.

Works with Rnse and standard Bose player
