on Avus gunmetal looks good, here is the paint code used for the Plus version rims : 8AU - titan grey

My BBS wheels are gunmetal and it hides the brake dust (although you won't have any- ;0 ). When absolutely clean- I like the Silver contrast better. The Enkei black wheels look good at the track. Obviously- personal preference of color. Orange might be nice.

Enjoy them new wheels you dog!

I'm a big fan of the Meteorite Grey that I had my winter wheels shot with, hides the dust and still has a very good amount of metallic flake. No offense, not at all a fan of Avus Silver, so my opinion here is probably <$.02. All depends on what _you_ want the car to look like :)

Enjoy those 19's!

My vote is on whatever the stock gunmetal type color was.

Is this the existing color?

Personally would only run gunmetal on a black, blue, or dark color car. Light color cars with dark wheels look strange to me and if you have a background in design you would well understand my opinion on it. I would stay with the lighter silver as I think it's classier and sportier for the Avus color. The Daytona gray ride would look good with gunmetal. Definately stay away from chrome! I had a set of 19x8.5 Euro 5spokes on the black ride here and liquidated them with near new rubber 2 wks ago to a polish kid who had just bought an A6 4.2 He was all about the bling and happer than a pig in shit to get them.

I painted a set of those exact wheels with what the wheel company around here calls "hypersilver". They powdercoat a black base, then a translucent silver metallic to the desired color tone, then clear coat. Since the car is a black metallic I kept the wheels on the darker side and the result, especially in the sunlight, is terrific.

^APR does rock it..Crazy was able to get under 4.0 for 0-60 (If I recall it was 3.94) with aggressive launch...;0 Usually it runs in the 4.1 to 4.3 range with 93 pump gas.

I don't think I've ever launched it with Race Gas and 100 mode. I'm pretty sure it would hover around 4.0 with correct launches. For the heavy monster, I'm happy with the performance. If only we had a transmission that could master the torque.

Did you have left foot braking added to the programs? You have to ask for it

If so, what is the best launch method you have come up with

I don't have the left foot braking added on the APR. It was essentially the rat foot duck method of building a bit of boost and whoooosh! It was a couple of years ago and weather was nice and frigid for the turbos to munch..

Reviving this ...Dave did you have any issues finding tires for those wheels to clear the uprights? Are you using spacers? I am getting a set of OEM Euros from Germany soon

Just purrrrrrrfect.

Michelin PSS in 255/35 have the correct section width to fit perfect and no mods needed.

As pictured there were no spacers.

I run with 10mm spacers and they still fit perfect and well under the fenders.

Thanks...are those the only tires that fit? I am assuming the issue is the 35 offset? So with spacers you would have more clearance?

Its the only tire I run.

And yes the 10mm spacer will allow more clearance to the nub on the upright.
