Guys, i got a quote from a shop to replace my front brakes ( pads and rotors) for 1350. Does that seems like a decent price?

What pads and rotors are they planning to use? The labor isn't all that much (for a shop, 1hr to do full front brake service is more than enough time), but if they're cheaping out on the hardware, I'd be skipping their offer.

I went with Hawk HPC pads all around (they were cheap on Amazon at one point, $215 for a full set, but now more like $325). Still haven't replaced my rotors but looking towards JHM replacements ($795), and getting them shipped straight over to frozenrotors for cryo treatment. All said, that's about $1300 into the parts up front...

With exactly what parts? You should know the brand of rotors being used, along with pads, and the hourly labor charge. How long have you had the car and what's your location?

What O_E said, looking at going that route myself. It can take a few hours depending on how it goes.

Edit; do not get stock pads, the pad wear sensor pins will eat into your rotors, they are also very dusty. Hawk HPS have been very good for me.

$350 a piece for oem front rotor http://www.europaparts.com/brake-rotor-4b3615302a.html and http://www.europaparts.com/brake-rotor-4b3615301e.html
or you could go with something like this http://jhmotorsports.com/shop/catalo...rs6-p-485.html (http://jhmotorsports.com/shop/catalog/front-rotorspair-jhm-piece-lightweight-for-c5-rs6-p-485.html)

+ pads ($100-$200)
Labor cost should be around $100, no more (unless you take it to the dealer).

For the rear (if you need that as well), prices are about the same, but you could also go with other alternatives (non drilled rotors)
