The most interesting facts first:

RS6 Avant:

0-100km/h-4,9s
0-200km/h-19,4 (thatīs a very bad result)

Hockenheim:1.18,3 min

E55 T-Modell:

0-100km/h-4.7s
0-200km/h-15.6s

Hockenheim:1.18,6min

temperature:16 Celsius
QNH:1024

The text says:

The RS6 has a good handling is sportier than the Mercedes, but the brakes arenīt that good.

The E55 is not so sporty like the RS6,but has a very powerful engine and brakes.

The result is the E55 wins with 38 points and the RS6 gets 37 points.

Yes, that 0 - 200 time for the RS6 is one of the worst.
But it is strange that it has been down to 15.7 secs to 200 km/h in the same magazine.

Did Audi give them a chipped car?
These times are just incredible, too good to be true (almost) :D !
The 100 - 200 km/h times on the car below are very similar to 500 hp RS6 I've driven...

Don't miss out on EVO's conclusion either. Poor Audi. The E55 AMG is so good! But the RS6 wins! :king:

I also have the test from sportauto.

yep the acceleration figures are for the E55 but here are the
"elastizität" numbers! :)

RS6 E55
4' 80-140: 7.1 9.1
4' 80-180: 14.7 16.3

80-100,120,140,160,180... RS6 is always faster and often with more than 1 or 1.5 seconds!

18 m slalom RS6: 63 kmh <--> E55: 60 kmh

->the brakes of the RS6 are incredible... if they're not abused.

RS6 E55
100-0 kmh cold 35.5 36.6
warm 39.8 36.4

They say the RS6 is faster around the track because of quattro and the far more agile steering....the steering of the E55 appears to be uncommunicative.

So as a conclusion they are very comparative looking at performance... E55 faster in pure standstill acc. but RS6 faster from speed and faster around track.

Question for all.

The 0 to 60 times and 1/4 mile times that have been posted seem to me to be very fast for a stock RS6. Now I have not done any testing but my car does feel that fast....I know some have said their RS6 does not, with times to prove it. Is it possible that the "test" cars were a little modified. what are your thoughts.

If you ask me "yes" the car was chipped.

I donīt know if you remember the test with the RS4 in the same magazine, first they tested it with 0-200 around 16s.The second article was about the 100.000km test with the RS4 and then it runs 19,1s.

Mercedes isnīt better do you remember the test in Nardo against GT2 and Murcie. The Sl55 was the fastest from 0-300km/h.Believe me or not but this SL55 had around 570-580 hp.

If there were a difference between 0.4 or 0,5 sec at these times you can say it depends on the weather, but 4s NO

Hmm...I don't think so. Wasn't those numbers driven by 4th gear? Both have automatic, so when you launch from 80 gear will be 2. Or did I missed the point?

The numbers were with 4'th and 5'th gear.

but yes I also think that an autobox would do that. They block it?

But anyway if you want I'll put the numbers here tonight.-> RS6 is faster
