Jetset,

It's neither a chrome finish nor paint work, it's actually an un-painted A8. It's to showcase the Tecnological advances in the Aluminum that's used in A8, I believe Jaguar was first to do this showcase with the new XJ. :)

You can try asking Audi for an un-painted A8? ;)

It is an unpainted A8. Add some 24's and it would be a P-Diddy mobile. Du Pont does have a color very similar to that look which color-shifts to Blues and Purples, it's called Chrome Illusion. It's very expensive but great looking.

Great stuff those unpainted space frames:bigeyes: You don't need any mirrors anymore. This truly blinds people :D

Will try to post a picture that I made of the unpainted A8 at the Audi museum (Ingolstadt). I visited it 2 years ago. The first thing I did over there after I had arrived was taking place in the RS6(estate):hihi: The only thing that I couldn't do was ordering it :vsad2: I hope I can have a passenger ride in one of those one day. A passenger ride is more than enough.
The museum is very nice, it's worth paying a visit. I made a detour for it when I went on a holiday to Switserland. I managed to visit Ingolstadt as well, which is a very nice village. The restaurant at the Audi complex is superb. The food was delicious and not that expensive. I mean not more expensive than a regular restaurant.

Have to go now, going to play some American pool :)

Take Care

Gah... I'de hate to polish those...:p

Why do they polish them up so much? I think it would look 10x better natural. The bare body couldn't be that shiny on its own.

Maybe they polish them like that before they are painted, to get the surface super-smooth for the paint.

Haha, that looks pretty weird to me.

Guess it's the personal settings.
