First one to pay $1500 gets it...I will even ship to Stratmosphere via FedEx for free...all you have to do is ship them your ECU and VIN NUMBER.

While I would dearly enjoy partaking of this "exceptional" offer, I'm just not involved with a "mod" friendly dealer. Spoke to him on the QT about the potential to add this mod and was told that they would definitely incorporate "fault" exposure to this mod if any potential warranty work were to become necessary. I'm just not "flush" enough to do this. Guess I'll be looking at performance increasing additions sometime later after losing the benefit of factory warranty. It really is such a tempting upgrade and I wish I had a bigger "set" to take advantage of it!

No sweat!

FYI, dealer would never be able to tell if it was chipped unless they opened the ECU...nothing on the computer would read that it is chipped.

Avus,

From what I have been told, the brain does not say "hey I have been modified". It does however record data from the motor and if the data is out of a specified range it will show up in a fault code. Something like turbo speed and/or power output. It just what I have been told...my not be right. Oh....I would be intrested in the chip but cant right now:( .

BTW folks.....just read the next E60 M has been bumped from 496hp to approx 540 to 550hp.
