Audi quattro Driving Experience was preparing this and next year's events on the ice on a lake in northern Sweden.

The ice was already about 20 cm thick.
There was just one (slight) problem, a brand new car for about 70.000 Euros is now at the bottom of the lake.
The driver and two passengers are ok, but some feet got a little wet :hihi: :trash:

I guess it looked something like this (Imprezas can't float either):

The '62 Galaxie went down in 1966. Too long a story to tell here but factors included college, the first warm weather of the year, fraternity brothers & beer. No speeding, though, or other cars involved, and fortunately no one was hurt -- plus the Galaxie ran fine after drying out. In fact I remember the bill: The cost to disassemble the engine, let it dry, put it back together & get it running in Cloverdale, IN was $30.

Electrical problems lingered and the upholstery stunk for several months. But I sold it six months afterwards with no questions asked.

Ah, for simpler times....

Subaru pic is made here in Estonia, it was STi and delivered to the owner only few days before the accident. By today, the same guy has destroyed few more STi's...probably his insurance rate is over 100% of cars value per year.:bang:
