Down pipes, piggy pipes (gutted pre-cats), or cut out the precats and weld in pipe/flex-pipe in place. Down pipes cost cheddar, piggies take a while to gut out. Who's just deleted the pre-cats by cutting them out? If so, what did you use to bridge the gap? Pipe or flex-pipe?

Secondary cats are bigger than primary.
Here is a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxnYH3JONkE both cars got straight pipes, one of the cars both cats deleted, the other one only secondary.
Zmey installed his mufflers back and it sounds very nice.

Yep...about a half hour per side to gut the pre-cats...Pipe in the vise and a big hammer and chisel or steel rod...and just keep smashing...I had gutted precats, no cats and SE mufflers...sounded perfect with no drone...
