My guess is the sensor is bad. Had this happen on my son's A6. eBay a new or used one. Any cheap code checker for Audi's will tell you which one is bad.

There are two headlight level sensors, so you'll want the vagcom to verify which one needs to be replaced.

As he said about two sensors. Both on the left side lower control arms, one in front and one in back. Little plastic lever, they look fragile but seem to be fairly reliable. May want to double check them if you can jack it up or put it on a lift. Haven't had any suspension work done lately have you? It wouldn't be the first time that a shop has disconnected it and then forgot to re-connect it.

Thanks guys. I recently had the front bumper and headlight replaced at a body shop due to some a$$hole vandalizing my car. Thank God for full coverage insurance. I may have to take it back to get looked at. Either way I would like to get my hands on a Vag-Com can any of you recommend a website or one in particular?? Thanks again...

Do a visual check of each sensor to ensure the armatures haven't broken. The one on the front of my one ride broke. Sensor is fine - arm not so fine..... lol
