Keys. Need an exta.

The new RS only came with one key and I'd like an extra. Don't really want to give $210 to the dealer. Can I use Vag-Com to program the chip in the new key or not?

Purchase keys from online source. Program yourself using YouTube video assistance.

Second key won't be able to start the car, needs to be paired with the security system, dealer-only programming.

I was thinking that is the case. I saw how to program the clicker, but the transponder chip also needs to be mated to the car. The question is, can I do that with Vag-Com? Because if I can, the savings of doing my own keys will pay for the Vag-Com. (Have to justify buying Vag-Com to the wife somehow...ha!)

AFAIK it can be done with the vagcom, i haven't tried itbut i do remember reading on another forum the procedure.
