Does anyone have pictures of their RS6 running 265/35r18's on the stock 18" wheels?

WTH? OEM 255/40R18 tires are 26" in diameter. 265/35R18 tires are 25.3" in diameter. Why would you want to mess with stock tire diameter on a large size AWD sedan that will guaranteed affect speedometer, odometer, tachometer, etc.??

Larger contact patch, stiffer sidewall, and I don't think 2mph variance is going to kill anything.

If you're going for larger contact patch, just do 295/35 on the rear wheels. Zero variance, full sidewall, even larger contact patch.

If you're spinning tire on launch for more than a couple 1/100's of a second, you've got a factory freak or something seriously wrong with your traction controller...

Not to mention more understeer... Bad idea!

I ran 265/18 on stock wheels on my first RS6, can't recall if the aspect was 35 or 40. Worked just fine. Sorry, no pics.

I run 265/35-18 on my track wheel setup no problem. I run team dynamic 9" wheels also. Fits great

Thanks for the input guys. So it sounds like there should t be a "safety" issue running the 265 on only an 8.5" wheel? I'm also curious how it looks on the car? Right now, the 255's are already "balloony." But maybe the 265 actually looks better since it's a shorter sidewall even though it's wider?
