I'm curious if anyone knows why there is no v.2 coilover offering from KW for the RS6? Would the v.2 setup for the A6 4.2 work for this application?

They did not make a V2 for the RS6, but there is no difference between the V1 kit for RS6 and V1 kit for S6/A6 4.2

I ran V2 for S6 on my car for about 6 years.

And if anyone is curious in them have a set of 3 month old V3's that need one shock rebuilt for $2000

Remember the new V3's have had failure issues...

I hadn't read about the recent failures. What in your opinion is the best option and most cost effective option for updating the suspension (for a street application)? Are the v1's a really harsh ride in comparison to the v3 or PSS9's?

i've used the ST coilovers made by KW for the Audi C5 S6, for street use they're perfect, just as comfortable as the DRC and they do handle very well if you're really pushing it, they're basically a KW V1.

Thanks for the input. I was wondering if the Variant 1's would meet my needs? I'm looking for the ride height adjustment with a nice balance of sport and comfort for the street. I've heard from others that the Variant 1 is a downgrade from the DRC, though?

Koni Yellows, $700, and then install. Set height and stiffness, very solid setup and nice ride height. Use stock springs. Even on soft it's firm, so guessing it can get harsh if you want...

the ST offers you the height adjustment, in terms of stiffness i would say is the same as the DRC, a bit more body roll when pushing it through the corners which is natural unless you have the DRC or KW V3, but then again both have their disadvantages, the first one fails and the last one is too stiff for a daily use, at least for me...
