Me and the RS6 are headed south to see family in Arkansas. Will be good to get on the highway to
see what adventures await……..(mainly Arkansas State Troopers that wait just over the Missouri/Arkansas
State line on Interstate 55 South LOL). Will update later…..

That is a tempting area to let the hammer down!- Safe and fun travels to and from our State.

Thanks Max. Back safe and sound in Illinois and got No TICKETS, so that was My Christmas present!! LOL
I was kinda dissapointed that I found no cars to "Play With" on the trip to and from.....Oh well, there's always next time!
I did notice that, that Trip meter that flashes after 2:00 hours is starting to get more and more on my nerves with each road trip
Lol. Is there a fix for this other than "Shutting it Down" for the alloted 10 minutes?

There is....can't remember what it is. Drove my sons A6 back from Phoenix and it was annoying.....Glad your trip was safe, but no cars to play with is no fun!

You just press the button under the right stalk. Or the buttons on the end of the stalk.

Yeah, I seem to have remembered reading something about this in the "Driver's manual" so I pulled it out again and sure enough on
page 148, "While driving, the computer will automatically switch to the Driving time display every 2 hours. The indicator will blink
(2:00, 4:00, 6:00, 8:00, etc.) in the display window to alert the driver to take a break. You can briefly turn off the blinker by pressing the reset button on either side of the switch."

I will make a mental note of this for future reference…..Thanks.

Wait....so no tickets or a breakdown? Not sure this can be true, but sounds damned good! Too bad nobody was around for a good 60-120 run or so...

Ha Ha ha yeah I know! I couldn't believe it myself. I did run up on a Dodge Charger RT right about the time I was hitting Interstate 40 in West Memphis, Ark but he wouldn't take the bait Lol….Go figure. My Escort did a good job of warning on avg. 2-3 miles in advance of Arkansas Highway Patrol and State Troopers. Funny thing, I didn't see any Hwy Patrol Units while I was in Missouri and usually I see a few…..Oh well, Outta sight outta mind. All things considered, it was a nice 650 mile round trip. I think this is this 5th Road trip that I've taken in this car which next month will mark my 1 year of ownership……My how time flies. It doesn't seem like I've had this car for a year. I need to calculate receipts for the year to see how much money I've spent so far on this thing but regardless, do I have any regrets buying it….Notta one. Oh, I may get pissed off at it here and there or if I have to take it to my Indy shop but that is easily forgotten as soon as I get back in the Driver's seat and turn the key.
