Add a great set of Blizzak winter tires and nothing comes close to you on the winter roads.

First snow drive today. After owning 3 Audi's it's apparent each car is a little different in its "snow ability". Even with new all-season tires the RS6 is a bit touchy and twitchy comparatively. When it loses traction (my fault, testing with right foot) it just wants to keep sliding. Stiff suspension definitely a factor...

Compared to everyone else that's either in the ditch or can't get going, Quattro and 500hp works. Setting records there!

Ha ha ha ha, I thought about that until I looked over and saw one of our city's Finest
sitting there at the door. Apparently they step up their presence at Walmart during the holidays to deter the Shoplifters.
Not sure how effective they are in doing that though…..Lol

My first Audi, but even with Hakka R's was able to get some good sliding on the packed/ice stuff under braking, very stable otherwise! Next few days as a giant skating rink should be fun, especially from the top of Chambers:)

Expecting 3" plus ice tonight in MA. Just have my A6 here now (RS is resting comfortably at home) but still looking forward to the drive to work in the morning.

What a great video. Torque vectoring is amazing. I wonder how this will affect brake rotor/pad longevity and heat build up.

My sentiments too. It's about time Audi gave us something more than simulated AWD up to 25 (or 40mph) using only ABS. And low tech torque split front to bak. BUT, gotta say the 50/50 (?) in C5 RS6 was still a bit much in the snow for ideal handling (fun, however)

Cars with ESP/TCS typically have larger rear rotors (esp. on RWD cars) to help dissapate heat. Wonder if/when the new system is over driven, will it shut down the fun like our cars do using EGT on the turbos?

Wonder if it could also be an end to using aftermarket pads with different friction characteristics?... Still LOVE to have 450NA HP to play with!

Good lawd I had fun last night blasting around side streets in Boston! It got annoying driving home when I was passing cars in the plowed slow lane while I was in the unplowed fast lane... You can definitely feel this car's heft though; couple understeer scares but otherwise awesome!!
