With just a few track weekends, and less than 10K miles rolled, these guys (all 4 upper control arms) decided to move around. Jeeez- not a good thing if the bolts decided to break with all the movement/stress while on the road. Waiting to hear back from 034 to discuss further.

Yikes. Not good. I think a replacement set will (better be) in your future on their dime.

I was up at TTR today and I overheard Kyle talking on the phone about your car and the problems you had with the control arms.

Not good at all. I have a set of these I removed due to the noise. Mine were some early ones, before the failure were they clunking much?

^Mystery solved. The issue is in the video and the 034 representative spotted it upon review.

Does anyone see it?

I am an idjuit for not seeing this. Lesson learned- thankfully at cheap cost as no one was injured or harmed during this ride in the dark. I will be mo diligent and explain in mo detail when we have a winner.

edit: Hint: Stop the vid at the 12 second mark

you are missing a shim or spacer.

Will ups send chicken?

UPS not need send chicken. No winnars this day...

The washer was not centered correctly. The washer is sitting on top of the pin and not down around it. It is an very exacting fit and has to be lined up just right for it to slip in. The allen bolt on top can then be tightened down securely. There is no movement once tight. A little loctite was applied for good measure.

At first, we had the same issue. Even though the allen bolt was tight, we had play in it. However; once the washer was lined up exactly right around the pin - Pow!- the washer slips all the way down, and the bolt correctly tightens down the hatch.

^Fair enuff....Here be a good pic of the issue once the arm was off the car. The washer should have slipped down into the "rabbit" hole and then tightened down. The bolt was tightened down with the washer on the lip, and not down in the hole around the bolt.

Nice details to know...you drove how long on that? Amazed it held up without being together.

^Too many....And a couple track events. At the end of the day- my mistake for not being mo diligent- and relying on others to do their job. I mistakenly thought I was being relatively diligent at inspecting the car at track events- obtaining 3rd party tech inspections before event, routinely checking pads, fluids, tire wear, temps, etc, etc. Added to the list- will be more diligent self-inspection of the suspension components.

I could see that gap which is why I said missing a shim or spacer.

Glad its fixed.
