First let me explain why I'm excited for this when you guys have all been running 12s stock for years...

i wanted a family car that was a 12sec car and not an Evo or STi. did some research and got the RS6 over a year ago..

was told it had a tune...bought it took it to the track that week and couldn't get out of the 14s!!! hated the car and wanted to sell it.
had it re-tuned and ran in the mid 13s ..still unhappy but feeling better about the car.
resealed the ICs and ran earlier this year a 13.28 i think.

got my exhaust made, 3in from the turbos all the way back to tips with a x-pipe in the middle, finally had a 70 degree day and DA of aprox 1600 and ran a 12.802 @ 110.89 mph with a poop 2.0 60' time (i feel like a 1.8 is where it should be) ive tried to launch with boost and do the duck foot rat thing and no matter what i don't feel like i launch hard.

it was my SEVENTH pass too...slowest was a 12.98 and first pass was a 12.87

ALSO, i had fun beat a mid 2000s MB CLS55 not by much but none the less a victory..

So now I'm happy with my ride and can sleep better knowing i have the 12sec family 4door i wanted.

Here's an iphone vid of the dash during the run....went ahead and hit 120 just for the fun of it.

Just don't tell them you were at the track :)

I always wonder how these warranties cover a modified car, stock is bad enough.

Sounds like a good time though! Looking forward to a time slip one of these days...

Yeah ah and running strong as far as I can tell. If it goes go out at the track I'll get it towed home and call the warranty people to get to towed to a shop. Not an issue lol. And I'd upgrade the TC while it's out prolly

The lovely 5HP24 doesn't discriminate based on YOUR location. Talking $hit like that makes you sound like an elitist a$$...

Nice run and congrats on reaching your goal. With that said, it sounds like your Viper tune is extremely conservative as a healthy stock RS6 runs 12.8 to 13.0 @ 107-108 MPH. With the mods you have, your car likely has another 50-60 HP left on the table in the tune. I've seen 12.0 to 12.2 @ 114-116 MPH on 93 octane with my own tune, gutted pre-cats and the stock catback.

You east coast guys are so spoiled with your 93 octane gas. :-/

BTW.... 10SecS4, once I convince the wife, you will be getting my ECU. If all else fails I am going to push for that as my xmas present. ;)

Sorry for being honest, then. I would never drive mine on the track, and I would never even dare to think about using the duckfoot technique described above.

Yes, I am. I know several people with C5 RS6 in both Sweden and Norway, and none of them ever had problems with their transmissions. Maybe we're just lucky?
