Going to pull off the summer wheels soon and get some OE size tires back on. Aiming more towards wet weather use w/o spending a ton.

The choices I have are basically Conti Extreme DW (summer tire). or Falken, Michelin Pilot Sport AS3 (but it's not a XL load rated), Bridgestones (had the RE760's and own S04's now), maybe a Yokohama in there too.

Years ago had the Conti Extreme Contact 3 on a B6 S4. Great all round tire, but in heavy rain showed it's hydroplaning weakness when the tread wear down a bit.

America's tire is having a sale thru today...Good time to jump on board.

Went with the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3's (255/40-18). Drove them on a customers VW Passat pre and post tire swaps (that we put a modest wheel package on). Even when literally brand new, felt amazing, summer performance level, no less.

Not cheap, but with an extra $150 off, couldn't pass them up. Just in time for a short road trip on some less than ideal roads. Stoked!
