new Q7 was too brutal in design

100 points to the first person who can dig up what the new Q7 was going to look like before the emergency redesign was ordered. I am extremely curious.

I really hope they don't tone it down too much, but here are the first (really poor quality) spyshots of the actual Q7.

that looks like the final car, but I am curious to see what the original was going to look like.

Who knows, at best we might get sketches of the original. I would guess the changes are to the grille/bumper and not sheetmetal.

Audi and the rest of the Volkswagen Group have very stringent oversight methods so I find it doubtful that the model received board approved funding without the board approving the final design of the new Q7. Therefore, the stories of a late stage redesign sound very questionable; however, planting a story to get more news coverage is a different matter.
