It seems like every day a manufacturer announces the latest and greatest with gobs of increased horsepower and torque. Let's assume for a minute that there will be a place to let it loose other than at the track. I'm struck by the fact the power upgrades have outpaced stability and chasis improvements. Case in point is the new E55AMG. It's a rocket...realy impressive on the interstate. The problem is take it on anything more challenging than gentle sweepers. Yeah if you're a professional you'll be OK! The truth be told I'm a wanabe race car driver. My C4S makes a novice like me shine and I'm hoping my new RS-6 does the same. I think it would be disappointing if manufacturers try to sell the horsepower without the handling to go with it. Sort of reminds me of the old days with American muscle cars. I think there's more to a performance car than cruising on the highway. Am I alone with this opinion?:addict:

I think BMW will go the light weight way. I hope Audi will too.
