I'll be brief since I'm posting from my cell phone. Hadn't noticed the noise before today but it sounds like there's a muted honking coming from the rear underside of my RS6. Can't track down exact location, but it's quite annoying trying to work in a quiet garage and hearing "meep, , meep, , meep, , meep" very quiet, maybe 30dB from standing a couple feet away? Anyone know what this may be?

And this noise would be coming from in front of the right rear axle.

Affirmative. Hot gas in tank, more heat from exhaust soak, etc.
Take off the gas tank fill cap and the noise quits.

It's just weird that the fuel system venting would make a sound so similar to the alarm-armed horn, albeit a good bit quieter. Those industrious germans think of everything!
