What, to you, is the world's best car and why?

Hi,

Just curious what's the world's best car in your opinion and why have you voted for it?

Some would just come out with the obvious:
"Mclaren F1- it has the highest top speed for any road car produced", so...put some thought into your decision(s) and lets see what other cars out there have shaped today's automotive world.


I'm putting forward the Original Mini from the 1950s/60s as it was British and had lasted for 40+years without any serious design changes. That shows how good the original concept was, Front Wheel Drive with the engine mounted across the width of the car.

For me the ultimate must be an RS6 avant or the new Honda NSX-R.

The ultimate car in my opinion has to be practical yet performance oriented. For that reason, I pick the RS6 Avant as well (with a good amount of ABT mods :) ).

An E39 M5 wagon would have been my first choice but that idea never materialized (there are some custom versions known to be around on M5board.com)

Best car for what ? Zillions of amazing cars are out there, depends what you want.

Purely from emotional point of view, it would be old American muscle car (except ford) with the biggest possible engine and on top of it, one healthy sized supercharger sticking through the hood. E-body Mopars and F-body GM cars are the best.

For me one of the best supercars is the Spyker C8 spider. Great looks, handmade and Audi V8 engine. The latest version will be delivered with the RS6 engine (Spyker C8 Spyder T, 525 HP)

The Mercedes Benz W123 model.
Because it's the best, most beautifull, most reliable, perfect car ever made, in every possible way.

It doesn't always has to be a supercar with 500+ hp and so on and so on, that's boring (after a while).

the w123 200diesel can do 500.000 kilometres between oil changes. Like to see that done by an RS6. (no offense, I love the rs's)

Saloon:
If you talk about saloon cars it has to be luxurious and roomy and has to coop in all weather conditions. So, an Audi quattro in general would be my first choice. The RS-models are nice :D

Sports car:
The Porsche Turbo, no doubt !:bow:

the best ,fastest car in the world, is the newest buggati (audi/vw owned) it is the fastest production car in the world and reaches top speed of 250 MPH it is by far the best car in the world and if i had the money that would be my car.


P.S. Audi/VW make the fastest cars on the the planet keep it going audi.
