Ein bisschen müssen wir noch warten, aber 2016 stellt Audi den neuen A6 vor – deutlich schärfer als bisher und endlich mit höherem Erkennungswert, wie unser erstes Bild zeigt.
Eine neue Front mit skulpturalem und im Motorsport-Look eingezogenem Singleframe-Grill, dazu eine stärker herausgearbeitete Schulterpartie, die gleich hinter den vorderen voluminösen Kotflügeln beginnt.
Das passt zum Credo von Designchef Wolfgang Egger: „Etwas Neues muss kommen, ohne mit den Traditionen zu brechen.“
Fest steht: Die rund 4,95 Meter lange Business-Limousine hebt sich wirkungsvoll vom aktuellen Modell ab.
Sie nutzt die Technik der zweiten Generation des Modularen Längsbaukastens (MLB Evo), die flexibel diverse Antriebskonzepte erlaubt.

Das Auto, in dem bisher schon viele Aluminiumteile verbaut sind (Hauben, Kotflügel) wird mit neuem Materialmix über 50 kg leichter und soll speziell im Fond auch mehr Platz bieten.
Motorisch gibt es neue Einsteiger – zum Beispiel den aus dem A3 bekannten 1,8-Liter-Turbo mit 180 PS und die neue 150-PS-Version des dieselnden Vierzylinder-TDI.
Obendrauf dürfte zum Beispiel die über 230 PS starke Biturbo- Version des EA 288-TDI offeriert werden.
Und diskutiert werden gleich zwei Hybrid-Varianten – eine Plug-in-Version des aktuellen Hybrids mit Vierzylinder-Benziner (rund 200 PS),
stärkerem Elektromotor und gut 50 km Elektroreichweite sowie ein sportlicher Diesel-Plug-in, der Audis 313-PS-V6-Biturbodiesel mit einem E-Motor mixt.
Zeitplan: Start für die Limousine ist 2016, der Kombi Avant folgt ein halbes Jahr später.
