Hi all, I'm getting ready to move forward w/6 speed MT conversion and have been working on procuring parts. Has anyone sourced an 01E from Iroz Motorsports? They told me that "the batch of 01E's we have range from 110k - 66k
kilometers. They have all been t horoughly inspected, tested under-load, and fully functional." I'm going in w/the assumption that a rebuild would be wise w/JHM synchro's, right? any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Question on the cost of these projects; Is it usually cheaper to source all the parts for a 01E conversion vs. going with a 517 Trans?

I agree. This is the first auto car I have had in a LONG time. I have always just wondered. Seemed like sourcing all of the parts was the hardest part. 517 trans, valve body and TC is about $6700.

I have a feeling its once of these things where the parts price might be more but the labor less. Making it a wash.

Have the CEL issues been worked out?

If you are referring to the 6MT converison ECU issues, they have been worked out.

The costs would be close to a wash...depending on who is doing labor.
