I had my car already posted in this forum but could not edit my post so I am posting again. Main update is that I believe that the DRC just went out in the past couple days. There is now an intermittent noise in the back over bumps, nothing appears loose and the dampening doesn't feel the same. Suspension time. One person commented in my other post that it is due for a timing belt. It has about 35,000 miles since the timing belt was done, I thought they were good for 70,000 miles. Main issues are torque converter, passenger side valve cover gasket, and now the DRC. I had said that it needs tires but let me clarify. The car has Michelin Pilot Sport A/S with plenty of tread however they are 4 years old. 3 of them look fine but the right front has signs of cracking. So, yeah it should have tires to be done right but someone could choose to drive it on these tires awhile longer. The car is located in Cincinnati, OH. It has 104,500 miles. Timing belt service done at 70,000. Brakes done last year. Cold A/C. No check engine light. Been daily driven for the past year, selling to invest more money into my business. All original except for VAST performance software installed last year at 98,000 miles.
Here's what you would want to know if you were considering this car... Outside has a couple small scrapes on front and rear bumper cover, oem wheels very straight but have been resprayed, could use a new set of tires, has intermittent fault for torque converter and trans can slip in between gears until warmed up, and passenger side valve cover gasket seeping. On the transmission issue, it has been the same for the year I have owned it and at least another 2 year before that, I know the previous owner. I drive in manual mode and it drives fine. I considered a manual swap and came across an NA V8 block (from a Toureg/bolts to O1E) and an O1E trans, happy to include them if a buyer was interested. Seems like a good car for someone who wants to get all of the main issues out of the way in the beginning and have their choice for what suspension, tires, and transmission solution that suits their needs. I suppose it could be a parts car but that kind of seems a shame. Best to contact me at emmaps@dubwerx.com if you are interested. Asking $14,000obo

That noise over the bumps...does it sound hollow? or like something isn't connected on one side? Yeah, 'regular' Audis T-belt service is 75K...these gems are every 35K. Car looks nice and clean, of course I biased to this color combo ! GLWS :hey:

Yeah..blue is the fastest color...especially when you "stick" it...
Sorry missed you today Jim...was home by 4...grabbing my car tomorrow...swap meet at Lake Compounce Sunday..

Blue might be the fastest Standard color but if you add in Special Orders then I'm sure white comes out on top. Car is tempting but I just started the process of buying a second vacation/retirement house.

Not sure about the color/HP thing Mark, but I think we agree that it IS a clean LOOKING car...from the pics..but for $14k, probably a maintenance nightmare...

Sold my RS6, it's in New Jersey now. New owner has had a couple rs6's and knows the car, may do a 6-spd swap. Glad I was able to get the right person for it.

yup, neither one of those cars have any documentation and hard to get any info out of the sellers about them... if it's daytona gray and it's on cars.com or autotrader.com, i've messaged them :)

Yeah...it's rare to find any cars, that old, with any kind of records..not saying they aren't out there, just hard to find..and take time..and usually get the money.

I spoke to that guy in Danbury, he wouldn't budge from that price. I told him he should drive the car and enjoy it. With the low mileage I would be concerned about all the potential maintenance nightmares.

Yeah...at that price..he'll own it for a long time...Good luck in your hunt too...

Pass the bong....
No way he is going to get $50k unless the rims are made of gold and even then, with the current state of the market, that would even be too high...

...exactly why I posted in another thread, that he will have it for a good long time...
