An alternative to Scroll if anyone is interested

Just got my K04's back from Midwest Turbo Connection. New CHRA's and VSR balanced. One year warranty. Under $1000. Just sayin'

Upgraded? Or just stock rebuild?

Stock rebuild. Most of the rebuilders that I talked with said stick with stock as the K04's are good enough. Unless money is no object. If that was the case, I'd be on BentleyContinentalGT.com

One thing scroll does for you in the $1200~$1300 price range is do the oiling & seal updates from the newer K04's that are still being installed in Vag products in one version or another.

I guess I would have to ask. Or learn how to rebuild a turbo. I figure with new CHRA's from Scroll this would have been $1600. The Turbos should last my lifetime. Or at least till the beast hits 300k.

Or you could go with brand new Borg Warner RS6 CHRA's. I happen to have a set for sale...
