I am looking for a rear view camera that will fit in the license plate light location and has an integrated light. Any suggestions? I've searched online, but no dice.

As far as I have seen, you either take out one of the license plate lights (which might get you a ticket for failure to illuminate your plate) or what someone did on an S8 is to use the fill plate and tap into the "rear fog light" area and use that for the camera mount.
Either way, there is some serious wiring from front to back.

Did you finally get the code?
How is the Fiscon/Kufatec unit?

I'll have to look into both. I haven't received the code as of yet. It seems that ars6 may have taken a job in SE Asia region and all attempts to communicate with him have failed. Stay tuned. And so I don't know how the kufatec module is yet.

I have a Pioneer rear camera that's supposed to connect to my Appradio, but I also haven't figured out a clean mounting yet for it. So it's still in the box.

I have a wide-angle Alpine rear camera wired into my Alpine IVA NAV -20 head unit. The camera is mounted directly beneath the plate surround edge and just above the plate itself. Works awesome.

I already have "sumthin" in that spot :hihi: Hence the need for an alternate location.

As always, a wealth of knowledge. I like the first one, less bulky. Thanks Tozo!

Does anyone know if these are true plug & play with the RNS-E? Or would extra adapters and or a flash coding be required? Thanks

IIRC, there is some modification to the RNS-E harness to get it to work. Also, there is a setting using VAG-COM called "Lamborghini Mode" for the rear view camera (I will dig for the links)

You need an analog TV module and recode the RNSE to sw150 to accept it. The down side you will loose the AUX input. I have a rearview mirror mounted 7" display for it.w
