Custom v8 exhaust manifolds :)

Hello my fellow rs6 owners. I just got my custom made exhaust manifolds From a friend of mine in sweden.
Made from 38mm to 42mm piping.

Poor :) the 90degree bend were the turbo mounts to are the worst hot spot. Will post pics of a gutted manifold

Im currently running stock turbos, but my friend martin is running something like the looba? 700 turbo upgrade. Hopefully less backpressure. its a lot of it right now.

My engine is not in a rs6 but in a audi 80 gte quattro. And martins engine sits in a manual audi a8/s8.

Funny I am also looking in Sweden for said manifolds............................I am in the UK but I need manifolds that will withstand 950+ nm torque!

And what size do you need the pipes to be? These are 38 to 42 mm to small ?

Yep loba 650's ..........looking on my tape measure 3 inches = 7.8 cms

How big are in/out on loba turbo ? I think martins modified turbos are 45mm in 43mm out convert to inches ;)
He is running other audi s8 40v heads with much larger exhaust valves other cams. And he will use the exhaust manifolds we have made.
Not as much torq as you because of bigger exhaust valves but still.

What a project! Really like to see more, wow. Can't believe no one else asked!?
Hmmmm, should I dismember my RS6 driveline and "drop" it into my Mk1 Scirocco (Intercooled Callaway)?? Could be something similar to the Ring Taxi driver with a split window VW bus running a Porsche 911 TT AWD driveline....

So, about those exhaust manifolds. Is he making them to also fit the stock bodied RS6? Appx power increase?
Looks maybe a good idea to wrap them to reduce underhood temps?

Amanda what are you talking about?
3 inch is what you want after turbo in your downpipe and not in the exhaust manifold.
Even if you put in 2 big GT 45 turbo producing 2000hp! you don't need more than 2 inch in the exhaust manifold.

RS6 OEM manifold is 35mm = 1,378inch
This manifold have 4 tube that is 38mm= 1,496 inch and then the last tube is 42mm= 1,65inch and that can handle 1000hp if you want that.

I found in the past few weeks a company....I think in UK but not for sure, that makes a set of custom exhaust headers for the RS6. They had a picture on their website that looked like it was a regular item that they might even have in stock. It was a company that does a lot with the RS6. I didn't save the link and now I can't find it. :doh:
Does that ring any bells with anyone??

I would be interested if someone showed an increase in power with dyno...or some convincing butt dyno testimonials. These kind of upgrades are usually done with other upgrades so it is not so easy to ascertain where the actual increase came from.

The idea of opening up the side engine with more room has it's own satisfaction but I think I would like a little more empirical evidence before plunking down that kind of coin.

It says from 1700 British Pounds....From?? That is 2675.00 USD. Too much for my blood...

I would go for the ajden made manifolds rather then paying 2675 usd that just dumb.
