Well, my V8 C5 RS 6 went yesterday, gutted, the new one can't come soon enough as I need cheering up.

The old :(

When you say "went", do you mean you sold it?

Yes, sold. Money in my account, car no longer on my drive. Badly worded from me. I'll miss it.

I am not sure I would have gotten rid of the PLUS but add to the collection :)
But then again, you might have parking issues...

Yeah, a comparo between C5 and C6 would be good!

Wow sweet ride, enjoy!!! I would love to get one of these into the USA when they become reasonably affordable. I know that it was discussed on here before, but can someone remind me if it would be possible to register on in the USA without an act of God? If I recall they are sold in Mexico but not Canada & USA?

Not an act of God. Just an act of congress. Good luck.

Thanks guys, I would have loved to have kept the plus but it didn't make sense for me having the money tied up in a depreciating asset, that I would have to keep insured and hardly get a chance to drive, it's gone to a very good home. Check out the business of the chap who bought it and the classic cars he has in stock..

This is the dyno graph from when it was mapped as I know you lot love your WHP, with filters. It did 757 once the downpipes, Milltek and map had been tweaked.

Those Brakes are insane!! 20" Rims and the Rotors fill the entire rim. Ridiculous....

I'd think just that fact that you have such a car on the way would be enough to cheer you up! :rs6kiss:

Congratulations - 750+ HP C6s are bad-ass cars - just check out their results on dragtimes.info.

An act of God is more likely than what it would actually take unless you're UBER wealthy and very well connected. Would be much easier to buy one in Europe, have it disassembled and ship the major parts here in boxes to swap onto either a A6 Avant or S6 sedan. I would assume the S6 swap would be the easiest, but obviously the Avant would yield a cooler car!

Very impressive. Congrats. We can all assume the acceleration will be a handy increase above the C5... but, I for one, want a report on how those C6 brakes feel. Holy mother!

Sorry for the thread hijack but wow has anyone attempted to swap C6 RS6 parts onto a6/s6 C6 Frame?

Your C5 was one of a kind, happy to see that it goes to a owner who will appreciate it for what it is! :thumb:

For the C6, it's a pure monster. Looks mint and the power is just insane!

You can buy a motor on German ebay for about $18,000. Like a previous poster said, it would be almost impossible to get one imported without spending major money to do so. I looked into importing a 2004 RS6 and it would be about $25,000 to do so (not including buying the car). And the stupid thing is that there is not a lot of stuff that needs to be changed on it. Best bet would be to find a totalled RS6, pull all the pertinent parts and ship them. Still not cheap. It's a shame they never imported that car.
