Spent 30 min browsing this forum but couldn't find an answer.
What percent tints do you guys have?
I think 20% will look too dark on a car, I'm debating between 35% and 50%.

Check your local man before you go nuts. I've had to pull tint off the front sides on the last 3 cars I've bought...

35% all around is legal in IL.
To me, it's more of an aesthetic thing than anything else.

30% all around. It's illegal in Oregon but luckily I haven't ran into an issue with the cops (and I've been pulled over almost 10 times since).

I didn't get an RS6 to follow the speed limit :R8kiss: a few times its because I don't use a front license plate. Been thinking about a escort 9500cl but can't justify the cost for it.

I can...it's paid for itself a few times over.

also, I bought it while I was searching for my RS 6. It's a great kit.

and I know they retail for 1599, you can get them all day long for 1000 on eBay, brand new. That's where I sourced mine. I also did the install myself.

Tint looks great audiprotn. I know the local cops real well here and manage several of their retirement accounts. I had one stop by with his meter to check it out. He measured it at 42%. It's supposed to be 50% in MN. I asked him if I should do anything about it. His exact words "I wouldn't fukking worry about it".

Keep in mind the factory glass measures at about 85%

Here in DC we have the following option to circumvent the tinted window law banning them.

My ophthalmologist was kind enough to co sign on the line supporting my assertion of photo sensitivity as the required condition clearing me for tints as dark as I care to go :dig:

Might as well tint your windshield 50%, better for your eyes.

35% front and rear sides, 20% rear windshield, 50% front windshield. It wasn't 10 minutes after my tints where finished and I was driving down the block that I was pulled over. Some other guy runs the red light right in front of him, and he proceeds to pull into the gas station after me anyway. The cop walked over laughing.... said "Cmon pal.... seriously? You tinted the windshield too???". I said "Cmon officer, seriously? That guy runs a red right in front of you and you pull into the gas station after me because of tints?" Then we chatted about the car for a bit, and he took off. No ticket.
