Bobski's RS6 FOB (that's Fresh Off Boat). actually it arrived in the U.S. on Christmas Eve at 9:30 PM. I took delivery of it on January 8th around 5:00 PM. Think of that song "Back in America" by the band Network that is played at the end of the film "National Lampoons European Vacation". In fact to help you I created a musical slideshow and posted it on youtube,

http://youtu.be/xZHwIeQtYGw

It features Bobski's RS6 visiting various sites around the Motor City, such as Audi of America in Auburn Hills and the headquarters of the Big Three U.S. auto manufacturers. This post will also have the same images as well as some that are not in the slideshow.

The first image below is Bobski's RS6 at 4815 Cabot Street in Detroit. This has a connection to Audi, this was the site of the Rickenbacker auto company and Audi bought the engine building capacity and shipped it gack to Germany back in the 1920's. The other images are taken around Detroit with the old and new GM headquarters in the background, as well as some other prominent Detroit stops.

Here is Bobski's RS6 in Auburn Hills at AoA, the Chrysler HQ. and Ford World Headquarters. There is also a shot of the immaculate interior as well as the complete stable of cars that sit in my driveway when the weather permits.

Yes the A6 now has company, we decided to keep it around for my wife to drive on those days when that Challenger can't get out of the driveway much less down the street. Thanks for the compliment on the pics. I was fortunate that so much light was available in the early morning in Detroit.

Great pics and I enjoyed the slideshow! (I didn't know Mt. Rushmore was in Detroit.:)) I'm glad that Bobski's beast has found a good home.

vitalian, Thank you, yes we recently moved Mt. Rushmore to fill in some of the industrial areas that had become vacant, it's quite a sight :hahahehe: This will be a good home for the beast that until recently was known as Bobski's. She will spend her days taking me on my 100+ mile commute, and occasional road trips to places I don't feel like flying to. She'll be well cared for as we do our own maintenance around here, we've been practicing on the A6 over the last four years, but we also understand that these vehicles offer special challenges.

Ben I'll have to give some thought on a new name. I was thinking of continuing to call it Bobski's so that folks would know where it came from, but perhaps your right and it should be called something different.
