Hey all,

I will try to outline my KW install here and link some of the past threads on DIY, adjustments and ect.

For now, can you KW owners post up some pics and current settings?

13 1/2fr and 13 5/8rear seem to be common ride heights.

What about damper settings?

Pics of the side and profile would be great.

Lastly, does anyone have that lower ball joint tool that I could borrow? Thanks

Just took this pic as Crazy happens to be home...

I have the damper settings at the KW recommended (don't recall what that was at the moment). When they were being installed, we were on the phone with KW and that seemed like a good setting for me. It is stiff- make no mistake- especially with the 19' wheels. However; next opportunity, I think I will stiffen it a bit further to see if I can tell a difference.

Edit:
Another pic...Yes- the car is dirty- Earlier it was out playing in the Arkansas Christmas Snow (first Arkansas white christmas since 1926) ..dressed in Michelin Super Sport Tread...00

I'll have to dig around for my original install instructions... I had jotted down all the specific measurements for my car... Maybe I should ship my tram gauge down too, it's how I measured the spring perch to lower mounting bolt measurements. Definitely stock settings in the rear, and one click of additional rebound in the front.... No questions about it..

Woo hoo!!- I finally saw another RS6 in my home town...It did have a funny wrap job...but it was definitely a RS6 Beast loaded with goodies. The owner was a relatively nice guy too, and seemed to have some knowledge about it---LOL

Haha, glad he made it through ok. When he first pulled up from the airport at the hotel, I thought for a half second that it was the uber rare sprint blue rs6. Good food and good times. Yeah, loaded to the brim huh!

Heh, you beat me to it. I never adjusted after my initial adjustment, and I love the ride height. Many pics have been posted since then of my car and ride height.. I can post again for reference. Front settled quite a bit more than from my initial install. I noted at the time that it was too high, but was advised to wait. Glad I did.

As mentioned in that thread, I went with one click stiffer on compression all around vs factory. It feels good to me, but I think I would definitely increase the rebound damping in the REAR, as the rear seems to pop up too fast over some faster bumps at high speed.

What are the current center cap to wheel arch measurements on your car? It looks spot on. I like a slight rake to the front. Very slight

Others have run +2 clicks on compression for the front and rears at stock setting.

Well....I thought about going with magnetic brakes...but alas...I merely had StaSis rebuild my calipers...They so purty..I'm looking forward to giving them a good workout...

Fronts easy dont even need to remove lower ball joint. My upper pinch bolt slid out with finger pressure. We see now why so many rear DRC installs are so high. 8hrs in/out, beer break, lunch break, 3 post install height adjustments. Dont ever try to drag race a stage1 E55 if your RS6 has been idling and heat soaked for 15 min. Ask me how I know. jfa;reripoiajsh#t.

plus 1 rebound on front and rest stock KW setting.

1/2 way thru settle we are

13.6in front center to fender
13.5in rear center to fender

1 finger gap all 4 corners for you without tape measures.

While you and lil sis were having dinner, the e55 did just fine bombing through the rain with the cruise set at 90 from casa hall to Sante Fe....

It took awhile to come up with a "duck foot rat" technique for the 55 from a dig....

Yeah you did. I'm not posting the go pro evidence in protest. I won the dead stop race last nite and the battery was dead.

Then came the duck foot and my heat soaked car all on film today. Crap

FYI

If you torque the rear control arms properly and wish to reach 13.5 center to fender on the rear. 195mm is the proper A measurement. It will look high for 1 day but drive it on the hwy and fill the gas tank.

We adjusted the rear down after first setting the A gap to 195 in the rear because it looked too high. The rear dropped nearly 1/2 inch and the front is yet to budge a 1/16. Go figure. So up comes the rear two times to get back where we started.

Ok, I'm all done with the KWs.

13 1/2 center to fender front
13 3/8 center to fender rear

Ground to wheel arch is dead on 26in on each corner.

Total toe on fronts towards neutral only slight toe in.
Total toe on rears towards neutral or zero to promote better rotation.

Dont let the shop dial in too much toe/in on the rear or your car will push like a lead sled.

Dont go overboard on toe/out on the rear or you will hate the way the car drives normally. It may rotate but it will also drive like sheet normally.

Car drives perfect. I should have put the KWs on years ago
