I had a set 18 inch replica RS6, 8J, they didnt fit beacause of to big Front Callipers..

@Amanda, i Like the red color, you don't see it that often..

amanda
December 23rd, 2012, 20:17
Why Thank You, Misano red is the fastest color for an RS6 but am sure the boys might argue over this ;)

My 18's are now defunkt because of my RS6 c6 brake setup.

If i had the choice between red en black or grey i would also go for red..
I like other colours then the rest..

Thanks. My wheels are Miro 111 19x9.5 all around. I only did h&r lowering springs just for now because Audi just replaced my whole DRC system under recall. Also to make sure it is flush i used 15mm spacers with longer lugs on each wheel.

ttboost
January 8th, 2013, 12:02
Don't recall exactly, but I remember that I am 10lbs lighter per corner with the overall change including tires and wheels. I seem to recall the Volk wheels weighing 20-21lbs each. stock wheels were like 30lbs? Tires might have been close to a wash? Went from Continental 255/45/18 to Michelin PSS 275/30/19. I'll try to weight them again tonight and check back in...

Does anyone know how big of a spacer you can put on with the stock 18" wheels and tires before you get into rubbing issues? Seeing all of the great wheels on this thread are temping but with relatively new tires on my stock 18" wheels, I think I will have them for a bit longer. A small spacer would give the car a slightly more aggressive look and would be an easy and inexpenisve upgrade.

If I had to make an educated guess?.... Probably 10 - 12.5mm spacers. I'm running 15mm spacers on 19x 9.5" wide Summer wheels with a 45et.

IF you decide to go with spacers, I'd highly recomend a wheel centric AND hub centric spacer.

Yes, I agree, BUT, if the car is hub centric, (like ours) it is IDEAL to keep it that way. If not, you will be relying on the lug bolts to center your wheel (with the spacer). I'm not sure how well the lug bolts fit the wheel and whether you want to rely on that, but I guess it IS a personal preference...

Front splitters were custom made by the previous owner ( headshot who did most of the updates to the car). I had them off last year when I had them clear bra'd and offered to get some made but there wasn't a lot of interest. I like em!!!

Nice find 4.2Crew. Just what I've been looking for, Custom Spacers at a decent price. I have to use Hub centric rings on my wheels to adapt the cars 57.1mm hub to to the wheels 66.1mm Bore. Apparently this company will make the spacers to your desired spec, so my wheels will fit without the need for Hub Centric Rings and consequently less possible Wheel Vibration. Can't attest for the quality, but I am going to find out...........................

OEM RS6's shall remain the winter wear. Summertime/show stuff, I have a set of BBS LM 20"S from my 4.2 which were not on that car when the storm hit. They'll be going on the RS6 come spring. Tires are Yokohama AVID's. Rim weight is about 25lbs. Not sure what the tires are as I haven't weighed those.

I have Michelin Pilot Super Sports on the OEM rims. Loving these tires.... fantastic tires. I'd love to land a set of ADV1's or some D2Forged. Probably what the next move is as far as wheels go, and I'll unload the LM's. Eh, we'll see. The LM's can be seen in my album on my old NEMO4.2.

Where did you get them installed? Not exactly comfortable with a Town Tire doing this. Also...would any Audi 19 x 9 rims fit...in theory? I like those rims although find it funny it came from a rs4...but, trust me I am not knowledgeable on what owners of RS6's have done successfully. I will only do a change if it involves NO mods ie no spacers or tweaks to the fenders etc... Let me know if anyone is willing to talk live on this. Thanks!!

Of all the wheels I had on my car (A6 4.2) the RS4 looked the nicest. They are a nice width and offset (et29). You will not have to use spacers with them, although I personally liked the look of them better with an 8mm spacer. However, I have also rolled my front fenders and made other mods. At stock offset, you will be fine, and will have to make no modifications.

No, not any Audi 19x9 rims will fit your car. You have to consider, bolt pattern and offset. Since the RS6 hub is 57.1 you can get hubcentric rings to convert about any rim to 57.1, if needed.

[QUOTE=v8a6;247169]Of all the wheels I had on my car (A6 4.2) the RS4 looked the nicest. They are a nice width and offset (et29). You will not have to use spacers with them, although I personally liked the look of them better with an 8mm spacer. [QUOTE]

Hmpphfff!!!!

Hey Ben! LOL. Yeah, sorry they never made it down your way when I sold them. However, shipping from Canada would have been very expensive. If I come across another set Ill let you know :)

No worries, there will be more popping up...
I had a line on a set in San Fran but didn't move fast enough.

Thanks!!I 'installed' them in my garage with a jack and a 17mm socket wrench. Easy to find a set with tires already mounted as the Rs4 uses the same size as the C5 RS6. www.enimotorsports.com (http://www.enimotorsports.com) up in Brookfield is also a place I say you can trust to mount and balance. What's so funny about the rims being from an RS4? They rock and fit perfectly with no spacers. They seem to be pretty stout too, as far as 19" rims go, with a thin sidewall a lot of rims will take a pothole in the form of a bend. Yes, most any modern Audi rim will bolt-on...its the offset you have to be mindful of. You have to find the right fit from between a 35-25mm offset (for no spacers).

these have just been refurbished by the previous owner and when we did the balancing they seemed alright, we'll see tomorrow how they feel on a longer trip, my 18" had a light rumble around 65-70mph as one is slightly bent, it's how it came with the car, i hope that with new rims i will also get rid of the that rumble...

I think the RS4 wheels make it look a bit younger and sportier, the 18 ones are too conservative, if i had found the 5 spoke RS6 ones i would've bought it, but can't find it here and buying it over the internet it's a no for me as i can't be sure that they're ok...plus the RS4 ones are plug&play, no need for spacers or center rings which i don't like....

Yeah..I love the look of your RS4 wheels too...I would have powdercoated mine black anyway, so I got lucky with my black Volk VR G2's, which incidently were off a RS4, so same size too...

Lookin good Chris

Got some 20 inch 'peelers' for the S6. Did a test fit on the A6 today. Too heavy for my RS6, but should be fine on the wagon.

Not super light but they are cheap. It seems that there are a lot of BBS and OZ wheels that are just as heavy or heavier for 2-4 times the money. What is the weight of an equivalent VMR wheel? I'm shopping now so I'm following this. Anyone got some Sportecs for sale?

I like the looks of the Miro, but I'm all about performance too..and I feel I need to factor in weight also. If you are going to pay all the money for a wheel, it better have all the benefits to warrant the cost. After all, besides functionality, looks and weight, what else is there?

I chose my Volks based on looks, weight and cost...not necessarily in that order...but the light weight was a deciding factor.

VMR is another common choose. Miro 111's seem comparable by weight.

ttboost, How much do your Volk's weigh?

You can't argue the fact that lighter is better but you are comparing $1000/set with $1000/wheel.

If price was no issue I'd be bumping around in a brand new 911 twin turbo.

I hunted down my set of Volks for $1000 for the set... so win-win for me. I also agree with your comment on the 911 turbo. If I sell my RS6, I will buy another 911 turbo..

I'm still riding the RS4 reps that were on the car when I bought it. 18x8 et38 with a 20mm spacer. They're showing enough wear, chips, fade etc that I'll convert them for winter use this year and hunt down a nice set for summer.
