In helping a buddy look for a doner truck, I did a quick search for our beloved RS6. This one popped-up in Fremont California: https://www.iaai.com/Vehicles/VehicleDetails.aspx?auctionID=12750379&itemID=13537454&RowNumber=3

It's been re-ended and the interior, front, sides look good. The engine and drivetrain should be intact because they list it as "Run and Drive".

At minimum we put the VIN into the list. If one of you happen to pick this up as a parts car, I am in for my fair share of parts.

Cheers.

I'll be bidding.

Hate to say it, but I'm sure there will be a few flood cars up for auction in the northeast in a couple few months.

I'm anxious to see what this goes for.

Weird that this was a total and now insurance sale? No airbags deployed, so what was the damage that got it totaled? Scary that this much damage and the insurance company throws the flag.

Hard to tell from the pics but are the rear fenders buckled? Happened to my daughter's old A4 without cracking the rear windshield.

looks like there is a buckle on the RR quarter panel. Lots of damage into frame rails when that happens.

It looks like it. Rear clip and frame machine work and its back on the road.

The bids may get to 9k on this car because it can be saved for 4k. I wanted the donor RS for my avant conversion and this car may be too nice. I may go 7k to 8k on it so we shall see.

I worry this could happen to me anytime I drive my car. There are at least 2 of these types of accidents in my town every day...damn tourists.

My tranny has been having issues. If it's determined I need a new one, I might have to start bidding as well :)

Was this auctioned off yesterday? Anyone know what this sold for? My bidder wasn't around for the end of the auction so I think he couldn't see what the final bidding was at.

Car is no longer avail for viewing at the original link. If it has been relisted, could you post an updated link? I have a bit of a burning curiosity - mostly want to see if it's my old car. If it's being sold in Fremont, there's a good chance it is...

It's not my old car, but it's a twin. I'm glad that it will be back on the road before long...

13000 for a wreck!

I was offered only 5K on a trade in on my fully functional, never in a wreck, RS.

Ok, I will give you $8652. Just kidding but I would stand behind that number if you ever wish to sell. ;-)

Yeah that is the buy it now price. The parts on that car are worth a fortune if you want to take the time and piece it all out like Shokan does.

I dont even know if I want to retro fit my S6 avant to RS status. I may just leave well enough alone and buy a new S8 circa 07-09 to tootle around in instead.
