I owned the car for 2-1/2 years but it was time to move on (wedding and house in the spring). New ride is a 2013 VW Passat diesel. Getting used to the 300 less hp but the interior is comfortable, gas mileage is a touch better too.

Thanks to everyone on this board for all the help over the past couple years, could not have owned/maintained the car without you guys!

Sorry to hear....been considering selling mine for time to time. We just picked up a TDI Touareg ourselves...at 0% interest, we couldn't NOT buy it. A 5000lb SUV that gets 28mpg with mixed hwy and city.....we love it...good luck and hope to see you back here...

Sold it on craigslist to a young guy up in Cambridge. He is a wrencher so should be a good fit to this car, not saying there are any problems but just keeps the maintenance $$ down. I hope to get into another Audi in the future, wonder what RS4 prices will be in year or two....? Honestly I wouldn't hesitate to buy another RS6 either, best car I have ever driven.

Starting to look for houses and she (the soon to be wife) is only considering ones with 3 car garages, she's a keeper.

Sorry for your loss but happy for your gain. Don't worry we can also give jealousy with pictures like this:

I am REAALLLY considering a passat TDI for a daily. I think the gas savings and maintenance savings from not daily driving the RS will pay for itself.

Yep...that was our reasoning with buying the TDI Touareg...poor man's Cayenne, but who cares about the badge...25-27 city and hoping to get 33-35 hwy...find out next week....

I like the Passat for the familiar buttons and layout as the RS6. The trunk it huge! I did notice that the interior is not quite as quiet as the RS but still decent. I think some sound deadening will be the next mod.

At one point Nissan was running a lease deal on the Leaf for $99/mo and $2k or $3k at signing. I know there were some at work that picked up the deal because they saved more in gas than the payment.

I use an old Corolla for my in town car.

Love the Passat TDI. Definitely considering going that route in the future for a daily commute. I'll never get rid of the 6 though, unless it blows up or something. At which point like you I will be looking at an RS4, SuperCharged of course. Good luck with the Passat, beautiful car.............................

Sorry to hear about the RS6, but house and marriage ain't bad plans! :thumb:

For the Passat, I'm been driving a estate 2.0TDI for about a year now and it's really a great car. The consumption is ridiculous. :D
