View Full Version : quick question on fixing leaky ICs...

ive looked at the 2 DIYs i found...but neither of them say where to get the end cap to seal off the pipes of the intercooler? what is the size and where can i buy them. All i can find is this...http://www.siliconeintakes.com/product_info.php?products_id=162


any help is greatly appreciated

You can make your own with plumbing supplies from home depot. Oatey caps are the plugs most use.

Or you can leave the hoses attached and find "male" plugs vs "female" caps. I just used random bits lying around my garage:

Here's the IC test setup I put together, all parts from Home Depot. I don't remember exactly, but think I've got less than $25 - $30 in the pieces.

Can do it all with Home Depot parts but a word of caution....make sure the cover is not pointed at you when you pump it up. If you go 10 psi on a 2 in diameter pipe you are at 30 pounds of pressure and it lets loose it is a little startling.
