2 questions...

1) Is there a way to set the NAV so that it always loads up to a map? When I hit NAV, it always asks for a destination. I have to hit the MAP button to switch over.

Or better yet, if it is set to map and the car is turned off, when I turn the car back on, it asks again for a destination and I want it to just show the MAP. Is there a way to change this?

2) Are there hand remotes sold for the RNS-E? All of the buttons seem like a far reach, it would be nice to have a hand remote. I suppose I am lazy.

Rather than starting another new thread ill ask here: what is my best option for iPod integration? Either by way of 32pin or aux jack..

I dont think you can do it!(but i could be wrong) you can charge the ipod by an adapter and use the phone functions by blue tooth. The rsne has media cards instead.

Hmm that's a good option...but it's a lot of DIY, I would like something slightly more on the p&p side of things if there are any?

I always think the buttons are far away too....but again, if you drive in Britain, the buttons are certainly closer aren't they?
As long as we can have an RNS-E, I'm a glass half full kind of guy.
