I'll start:

Nice guy, we chat for a few. He's a fan of Audis and avants. Said he had this flown in as a Christmas present.

Silver C5 RS6, looked real nice rolling towards me, ride height seemed good, SE exhaust as I looked back:), damn these cars look just amazing from the right angles. I've heard of it being around town, nice to see, no pics though. That's four including mine in the Eugene/Springfield area so far, population ~250k. Gary has a nice black one, somebody keeps trying to sell the blue with white interior, never seen it around town though.

Just ran into a grey 07 RS4 in Tigard, OR. Pulled up right next to him at a stop light but he wouldn't gun it with me. It was nice rolling alongside the RS6's little sister though for a few miles.

Was driving my C5 RS6 Avant on the highway in Sweden, when a silver A6 suddenly was driving along side with me. I spotted the young blonde riding shotgun after she spotted me. She was smiling and winking! I just couldn´t resist inviting the driver for a race (I don´t have a RS6 emblems). The cars looked mostly the same, but it didn´t sound the same when I floored it :P

Maserati Biturbos, without oil coolers to save money. Fire extinguisher mandatory to keep on board! And what's with the Toyota styling cues from the 80s?? Never understood that part of Maserati styling back then.

Here in Nashville, I don't see too many exotics on the road. But on Cars & Coffee Saturday mornings, I've seen quite a few interesting things. There are two other RS6s in town and we once had all three in one spot one Saturday. There's a Veyron that makes a showing fairly regularly. Ferrari this and that. The last one I went to was for Italian makes only; I rode my $4000 clunker of a Ducati and was admitted to the parking area, while a stunning GT3RS had to park outside :P Gallardos and Murcielagos get pretty old. There were a lot of very interesting old Alfas, and the one stunner wasn't the Murcielago Roadster, but the Gallardo Superleggera. Carbon fiber wing and other bits and pieces...definitely a very special car!

I've seen so many recently made exotics in nouveau-riche Korea that it takes something truly special (and usually old) to catch my eye. Someone in Korea managed to snag a Ferrari 288 GTO - THAT was impressive. I remember seeing a Lancia Delta Integrale in Hokkaido Japan. Have yet to see the holy grail (Audi Sport Quattro) in person, but when I do, I'll most likely faint. Never saw an ur-quattro like my first (hand-me-down) car, but as rare as those are, they were still just Audi Coupes with the 150bhp 2.2l turbo engine installed and the fenders flared a bit.

McLaren MP4-12C spotted while driving my 85 year old mother-in-law's brown 2001 Buick LeSabre while my car is in the shop for TC, EGTs, & O2. It was an amazing contrast!! I have gotten used to the best feature of this car over the past 2 weeks- the nicely padded elbow rest on the console that I can rest my elbow on to hold my head up when I fall asleep. I am pretty sure I pushed to close to 250K miles on it having bought it with 106K and DDing it for 12 years. Locking Center, locking rear. Fresh studded tires. BEST snow car ever - except for maybe a '92 V8 5 spd. But even still.......locked is locked.

At about 13, just around the time I starting to read Car and Driver, Hot Rod, and anything else I could get my hand on, my family was visiting Uncle in the smallest town I'd ever seen. After dinner, my Mom asked my uncle if he'd show me "The Car". Not knowing or caring what it was, I followed him to a separate garage full of car stuff. I couldn't figure out what car it was until he turned on the light. Holy Shit!!! I refused to get within 10' of it. My uncle grabbed me an tossed me into the driver's seat. Things dreams are made. My uncle and my dad had a falling out a year later, and we never went back to visit. Fast forward 25+ years. My cousin and I connect on Facebook. After a few months of back and forth I was going to be travelling to his city, and he invited me over to meet his family. Great to visit and catch up. Of course we talked about cars, and I asked what his Dad ever did with the car. He said that it's here. No way!!! Getting back into it took be back. Beautiful, and always will be.

Oh thanks for the reminder, I had rolled along a White with black side blades R8 (4.2) down I-5 for awhile, few weeks ago, after talking with the owner who was on a long road trip from BC/CA to S.Cal. Older fellah of course, at least 65-70. Didn't seem the Enthusiast type, but he eyeballed the RS6 brakes, but didn't seem to register.... Tried to get him to play.......I figure the cars would be fairly closely matched on the freeway, given the 100hp and weight difference?

Will try to post a pic later today-- got some good ones of the R8. I will also make an album on our company FB page, too (Cascade Autowerkes, Eugene OR) this weekend (not on my comp. right now and have plans with the Guys this eve.).

Actually I have some other way cool cars I can post too- Ferrari F360 and a 996 GT3 (the GT3 I've technically "driven"), maybe a few others.

Yes the E28 is the original super sedan. It's quite a thing of beauty! Couldn't be more different though. It's not really a luxury car despite the initial appearances. It's very raw. I wold say dynamically its more similar to a Miata or BRZ; not especially fast, but it handles the speed it builds up quite well. Where the RS6 can be a bit of a pig this thing is a absolute joy. It's a low speed hoon! I can toss it around a corner and keep my foot planted till it brings itself back in line. Then I can rev it out all the way through 1st & 2nd and still be legal (most of the time). The RS6 has too much power for that kind of daily hooning. However the RS6 is still my baby, and will continue to be till I get my hands on a newer RS6!

So it is pretty rare to see a C5 A6 4.2, but the 2.7 and allroads are everywhere here in Seattle/Bellevue, Kirkland, etc.

So I see one and am fumbling for my iPhone to take a snap but then I see that the rims are just scrapped up and there are some issues and I put my phone away. Not 2 seconds later on the other side of the road, up drives a McLaren MP-12 in burnt orange.... I completely forgot where I was, what I was driving, where I was going...

Why are you surprised that a country with high fuel and income taxation would have few exotic cars? Plus not too long ago, Italy was filled with various terrorist groups that targeted the wealthy - recall the Red Brigade? This forced the affluent to more mainstream cars. Many companies provide drivers with armored plain vanilla Fiats for key executives.

Today was a big day! Got to have some fun(which never happens)! Most of the time I'm the cat but I got reminded that I can also be the mouse!
First up was a 2010 Callaway Vette with 616hp. I had seen the guy at a car show and talked to him a bit a few months ago but I think I be must have underestimated me because even though he stepped on it I got about a car length lead before he put me down. Then about an hour later I got to a stoplight next to an 02 M5 with Dinan intake and tune and tubi exhaust(knew him from a fun run). Not wanting to launch hard too many times with Carrabelle in 2 days(and feeling quite confident) I just eased it off the line in sport and let him have half a car length then dropped the hammer and had him by 60 and he finally gave up at 70(dont worry it was a posted 55 where traffic flows at 65-70)

Bentley Flying Spur I believe, got them to play also. Newer model, 4-door, sloped front and back. I was in front for a bit, city driving, went to two lanes, I slowed a bit they gave it a good dig around the side. Half car length for them, I kicked it in and they were gone by 65mph in 3rd. Nice to see a luxury ride go for it, great looking car, glad I just tuned the beast a bit...

On the Autobahn A6 yesterday on my way back from the Porsche museum in Stuttgart doing about 120mph in a Merc E class Diesel and I get passed by a Lambo Aventador like I was standing still, must have been doing 180mph+.
P.S. It was a White Lambo, and we know that White is the fastest color right :)

Just spotted an Avus silver RS6 parked on First Ave. near Cherry St. in Seattle. It had dark-finish non-OEM wheels and a personalized license plate. I loitered for a few minutes to see if the owner would come by, but had to get back to work. If this is a forum member, howdy!

I Spotted another one of those Tesla Model S cars today. However this one was not on the road. It was in a laboratory, the front and rear end were cut off, the doors were gone and in fact there was no interior except the drivers seat and a restraint system. There was a crash dummy in the drivers seat. The restraint system was being tested by statically firing the belt pretensioners and measuring the belt intake and the resulting loads impated to the dummy. I'll be at the lab again tomorrow but I'm pretty sure they won't let me take a picture.

Spotted a Mugello RS6 on Maltby Rd. in Woodinville, WA yesterday. Could have been black - tough to tell when the eyes have adjusted to a solid week of zero sun. Looked like Milltek exhausts, they were not stock. I was behind you at HWY 9 in my big, green 1972 Chebby 4X4 pickemup truck.

Just this morning I followed another very nice Mugello Blue RS6 for about 7-8 blocks driving southbound on Second Avenue through downtown Seattle. The car took a left before I could pull alongside to try to get the driver's attention. Washington license plate with a "W" in it, driver was a white male wearing a tan baseball cap. If this is a forum member, HOWDY!

I watched that car a month ago at the same track. It was very impressive how fast it was and how well it handled. He was flying by everybody else on the track. Randy, there is a Audi event at MSRC this weekend on the 1.3 track. Are you going to be there? I signed up and the owner of my old RS6 is going also. My car is getting a new transmission put in this week. So I am taking my Spec Miata.

I saw this Huayra cruising Wilshire Blvd and Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills in May. The nicest car I've ever seen in person IMO, including a couple of Aventadors and a Veyron. I guess this opens Ben's question up again..?

So I parked next to this RS7 today at Bank of America in Tyson's on Greensboro and when I walked out of the bank the owner was getting into the car so I complimented his ride and told him that I've always admired those cars, he laughed and told me he used to have the RS6 and then asked me if I wanted to drive it - absolutely was my response. He flipped me the key and handed me his business card and told me to give it a good run and then deliver it back to him at his office when I was done. I could not believe my good fortune, Tyson's Audi will only allow a test drive on these with a deposit, so I ran it around Jones Branch, back up international drive and then down route 7, the thing moves and the exhaust growls. The interior has really nice red piping all around & also the carbon fiber - what a great experience....I thanked the owner and he told me that he's offered many folks the opportunity to drive it and I was the first one to take him up on it, he said it made his day and was one of his random acts of kindness that he incorporates into his day to day. There are 5 white RS6's, 4 of which have Carbon trim inlays I'm now told. Knowing the source would take his word. Mr. M was not in WA on T-Day, making for a head count of 3 known to currently exist it seems.
