RS6 Availability in Chicagoland and beyond?

Hey guys,

Quick question - does anyone know of any Chicagoland dealers with RS6s on the lots? Anywhere around Chicago or the great lakes region is ideal, but anywhere in the USA is also okay for the right color/options/price.

Yep, that someone was me, and Laurel Westmont does indeed have a "few", defined as more than 2, but less than 5.

Audi of Rochester Hills (MI), where I bought mine, has a Mugello blue at the dealership with nav and carbon fiber; priced at MSRP which, with the gas guzzlers tax, is around $86K. They may have a couple more but I haven't seen those cars & don't know details.

Their RS6 specialist, and my salesman, is John Field. If you talk to him please tell him Jack sent you.

Detroit area has two other dealers -- Cook and Fred Lavery -- but I have no idea re their inventory.

Motown is about 300 mi from Chitown.

Laurel in Westmont had 2 Daytona Gray with 9 spoke RS wheels when I was there a few weeks ago (one had a sold sticker on it). Fletcher Jones Downtown has a Red One on the floor. The Exchange in Highland Park has a Green One they use for test drives I'm told.

You guys are too funny. It's interesting how my first posts on boards always wind up talking about my Supra.

Big turbo, lots of fuel, cutting edge electronics and engine management, and excellent tuning all built around a bulletproof motor & drivetrain is how you get a streetable 1000hp Supra. That and a lot of time, money, and effort of course ;)

Back to the topic at hand, I just test drove an '03 RS6. God damn, that was absolutely incredible. I am really impressed. The road feel, the brakes, the torque, the SOUND, the AWD. Extremely well balanced and agile. I can see what all the ruckus is about now. Tomorrow I go drive another one :)

We'll see what develops.

Marcus, I was just at the Rochester Hills Audi dealership, the Mugello Blue RS6 was sitting out front with a sold tag on the windshield. Sorry. But that other guy was right, if anyone could help you John Field is your man.

As mentioned in an earlier post, the Audi Exchange in Highland Park, IL has a green beast sitting in their showroom. I drove this car for a couple of miles before mine was delivered. Strange combination, with green exterior, standard exhaust and carbon fiber. It's quite possible that they will deal on this car because of the color, option set and mileage (kinda used as a demo). Talk to Chick Baruffi, and tell him Patrick sent you. Chick will provide a top-notch buying experience.
