About the side assist, i've tried it with my last RS5 (the one i've kept one day due to missing options), and appreciated at 100%. Really not a gadget. Safety is improved, for sure.

About the side assist, i've tried it with my last RS5 (the one i've kept one day due to missing options), and appreciated at 100%. Really not a gadget. Safety is improved, for sure. Agreed! Similar to the new gen tech in the Lexus models, improved safety for sure and NOT just a gimmic.

great find andrea. nope, i'll never skip adjusting mirrors for blindspots, and always checking over my shoulders, but for the rare moment i may need it i will like having side assist there. i keep my cars for years and in the next 8 or so i am sure it'll come in handy once or twice. ben, afaik s4 avants are not available in the usa.....
