They are used. Just took them off. The dead pedal is missing the top clip that you see in the picture.12837

After slipping off the OEM non plus pedals twice in separate incidents, I upgraded to these and really like them!

Is the clip for the dead pedal part of the piece or is it available seperately from Audi? Is it broken off or just missing?

Also, does this dead pedal cover up the old one or replace it entirely?

The clip broke off. It is not available seperately. The clip does not hold the dead pedal in place. The clip is for holding part of the panel that goes under the steering wheel. The panel is secure without it. I might still have the clip somewhere. If I find it, I can epoxy it back together.

The dead pedal will be completely replaced by this RS6 plus one.

The clip, you don't even see so there isn't a worry about "seeing it"

When OEMPLUS.com had its Labor Day sale, I bought a set. They came yesterday and I installed them today. Thanks for the heads up ben916 on the deal they were running.

I considered purchasing the above pedals from arS6 but was not sure about the clip… did not want to risk a "rattle". Little did I know that our car already has that clip, so its a non-issue really. I should have just purchased them from the arS6.

More importantly… if someone is considering the above purchase but is concerned about the clip, PM me and I will send them an extra clip. The set from OEMPLUS.com also had a clip that came in the packaging… now I have TWO!

The set goes on fairly easy. I used the write up from Nene (http://www.htms.org/pedals.html) except, I did not remove the brake pedal the way he did to get to the gas pedal. That seemed a little involved, so I just contorted myself with an alum wrench (and had some patience as the space is very tight) to remove the gas pedal.

Anyway, they look very classy. I would recommend.

Nevermind about my clip, I misunderstood. The plastic part that holds the clip is broken on your dead plate. I suppose my clip would be useless. :doh:
