Is there a definitive list of the options?

I've come up with

2Bennett - Front Only - Custom aluminum hat with OEM Audi rings from another platform, not sure which.
http://2bennett.com/audi%20rs6.html
$1000 per pair w/hats
$700 per pair of rings & hardware

JH Motorsport - Front and Rear Custom hat and independently made OEM size rotors
$775 per front pair w/hats
$650 per rear pair w/hats

I'll update this info as new stuff comes in. I don't see ring prices for the JH stuff.

I've checked with Stoptech and they have no offerings for our 365mm setups.

Does anybody know of other 2 piece OEM replacements?

thanks,
-bill

Are you trying to find something cheaper than OEM?

Coleman and Loba have 2 peice rotor options. Look at last week's thread on rotors

I'm not so concerned about price. I'd be happy to buy OE for replacements, but from what I see of those rotors, I can do a lot better for the money.

There was a thread some time back relating to the development and creation of a two piece rotor system where only the rotor ring would be replaced versus replacing the entire rotor/hat.
The initial cost ($900+ fronts only) was more than OEM ($700) but then lifelong cost was considerably less ($190 each Fronts only)

Also the design of the rotor fins was superior to the OEM

I know that doesn't help much but hopefully one of the original purchasers of the system will shed some light ...

I believe that the one you're talking about was the setup that was done custom by Coleman. I'm going to get in touch with them and see what's the story.

if anybody knows I'm wrong, lemme know.

I would be interested to hear more about the Coleman setup when you get the details.

FYI- $299 each for the fronts on genuineaudiparts.com. $300 is not bad for the oem quality? Apparently you can also get them not drilled for about $250 each.

so I ordered the 2 front cross drilled rotors by the part numbers listed and as I'm installing them I realize both rotors have an R directional arrow instead of one R and one L. Did audionlineparts make a mistake or are those part #'s wrong? I double checked my order to make sure but it was correct.

Doh!

Just put the two front rotors on the right.....

Actually, if I remember, R stands for "rotation" and not "right". Put them on the floor and make sure one arrow goes one way, and one the other.

Is the 3rd ring replacement since new? What is the total cost of the Coleman rings alone. I already have the hats. Mixed reviews regarding coleman....

Just called these guys because I was wondering why the price on the front and rear rotors are the same. Granted, buying all 4 is about 200 cheaper than genuine was last time, but inquiring minds want to know. They told me that not only are the calipers brembo, but so are the rotors?????

I sent them a message asking. We will see what they say. Because at that price the JHM rotors are actually a cheaper option:

I ordered from audionlineparts.com and can verify they are OEM parts.
audionlineparts.com made a mistake and I recieved two right side rotors even though I ordered a Right with a Left. Took them to the dealership and parts manager verified they are OEM and swapped me a Left for a Right :)

Very interesting..... go to audionlineparts.com, click on Audi Mechanical, then 2003, then RS6, then brakes, then enter 4b3615301e hit enter. $412 is about 25% off retail

Now go to http://genuineaudiparts.com/ and enter the same information...... anyone see anything similar? $440 is about 20% off retail.

True genuine OEM rotors for under $300 per rotor.....??? WHAT A STEAL AT THAT TIME!!!!!!! Should have loaded up...... hahahahahaha!!!

JEEEBUS!!! Did a bunch of hedge funds start investing in RS6 rotors? Better get my new front pads in now - because my rotors are going another round.

Maybe this will help?

Audi OEM C5-RS6 front rotors for $739 per pair. Can also get Zimmerman OE style (drilled) rotors for a chunk of change less.

Front OEM Textar brake pads (8) with wear sensors- $149 set. Quality aftermarket Ceramic pads with wear sensors for $69 front set! EBC pads also available.

Supplier Prices just keep going up I've noticed. Happens every year, often quarterly and sometimes even monthly. Not sure how long I can hold these prices for forum members!

Can put a package deal together with rear rotors and pads if people are interested. Ships from Eugene, OR.

PM for more info (included your email, name and ph#); trying to not be overly "commercial" about this! General questions I will answer in this thread.

Let me know what you guys think.

Just received a pair of front rotors from German Auto Parts. No "rings", just a directional arrow, some stamped nbrs, and "MIN. T.H. 32.4mm" - generic boxes have correct part numbers:
4B3 615 301 E
4B3 615 302 A

I'm thrown by the reference to 32.4mm (vs. 34mm spec). I called GAP, they had no specific info to offer, except that they are Zimmermans and added that they are specific to 2003 RS6.

Any thoughts/comments regarding the 32.4mm?

TIA

I saw their pricing, tried to ask them some q's (manufacturer of the "OEM"?) ... got into a silly computer-generated automatic e-mail exchange, could never get someone live to answer my question directly, or indirectly. Tried calling them, was on hold for 30 mins and gave up. When I called German Auto Parts, I got a rep on the phone immediately (Nathan) who was very attentive/responsive. Free shipping as well, and as they/I am in NY state, I received them overnite. When I called back with my q above, they were live on the phone again in a matter of seconds. I know others have bought from Parts Geek w/o issue, was just my preference; I felt that type of attention was worth the higher price, and to receive a 60lb pkg overnite was a bonus as I had a time constraint.
