Had a cousin pop over and he wanted a spin in the car, took him out and it was running flawlessly, going like shit off a shovel, then I thought I heard a weird noise, turned the music down and it got louder and louder. It sounds like someone letting air out of a tyre but 100x louder, I couldn't hear my exhuast it has become that loud. It only does it when it hits 3,000 RPM. There is no real noticeable performance reduction. Anyone had this? I've made two videos to try and demonstrate the noise but it is hard to capture. It sounds as it if it is coming from the drivers side, intercooler hose popped off?

Yes. IC hose. Don't run it like that. You'll wreck a turbo.

^^+1 Yes Definitely a blown off Intercooler hose. Just happend to me last week. There had to have been a performance reduction though, since you lose a lot of boost pressure. This is about the third time this has occurred so I bought me set of Wagner IC hoses because there a little longer than stock. The trouble is the damn things are to long though and almost impossible to get on. Don't know If I can recommend them. Any way check your hoses Upper and Lower and re tighten the clamps , since I have had both blow off on me. Remember as 4everRS said above stay out of boost as you will most likely overspin those Turbo's. Good luck............

Got it onto some drive on ramps with the help of a lot of wood, damn, it is low. Whipped the under tray off and could instantly see the hose that had come loose from the intercooler, got it back on and then the clip over nice and tight. I considered doing a write up, but there isn't really anything to it. I found it difficult initially to get the hose back over the cooler, so loosened it from the other end and twisted it over onto the other section. Took it for a test run and there isn't any more whooshing noise, drove it as hard as I dared in this weather and it hasn't come off again. Here's a photo below.

I did discover an undertray screw was missing, so I'm going to grab one of them, but other then that, im happy. Thanks for your help all.
