I sent them the color code, and they got the avus silver spot on. Not bad for $90 shipped from Taiwan.

I like it.

it is very subtle, but since they paint to spec when you order, it does look factory.

I like it! Our car's really are Nashville twins exterior wise. Mine will be in for a day visit tomorrow to hopefully get the remaining creaks and codes worked out. Definitely looks like the trans temp sensor harness is the issue and cause of the last drip I have. Hopefully the creaking noise on warm takeoff will be a minor thing.

here is a closeup of the roof spoiler.

I got it off of eBay - $85 shipped. you let them know the color code, and then they have it painted, then send it out. It took about 5 days after ordering for them to get it back from the paint shop, and less than a week to arrive.

I gotta say, the paint is not only a spot on match, it's flawless.

That's impressive for 85 bucks. I doubt a shop here would even shoot it for 85 and it would probably not match and come with an orange peel bonus. Nice find.

The paint job is dead perfect; the only way it could show its cheap cost would be in durability, but that will take time to show, if at all. The part is flexible, so the paint is flexible as well - dunno what kind of paint that would be...?

Looks great on Avus! I've had this same one on my car since 2009, and it has held up very well. The paint (Ebony Pearl) still looks perfect. Not sure if it was the same seller, but it's the same price and part.

The only two issues I had:
1. The ends curled up when the adhesive let go within a week (two strips of 3M tape), but I used some clear silicone adhesive just on the ends and anchored it down with painter's tape and weights overnight, and has been rock solid ever since.
2. The other thing that gets on my nerves is that raindrops always accumulate on the rear window, presumably since the airstream no longer travels over that section of the car due to the upper rear spoiler. At highway speed, the wind had always kept the rear window clear prior to installation. It rains frequently here, so it bugs me, although obviously not enough to remove it.

looks good, i have already inquired the seller to see if he can ship it to AD! :)

Sorta renders the trunk spoiler useless now....in terms of high speed aerodynamics. Who cares though ? 8-)

I was actually thinking that it could impede airflow to the trunk spoiler, making the back have a bit less pressure, but who knows...they do look good, I keep thinking it's another part to clean:)

Yes, it obviously impedes the airflow over the rear section, since water drops don't get blown off the rear window by the airstream. Be that as it may, I've never had the back end go light on me, either. I think any small decrease in downforce at the trunk spoiler is offset somewhat by the small increase at the roof line. I'm sure if it were a better aerodynamic solution, Audi would have put it on the car at the outset. Honestly, I had installed it for the originality and subtle styling difference, and it's held up exceptionally well.

By the way, Kismet:
4B0 092156D Tow Hitch with removable ball may be what you're seeking.

I enjoyed your camping tale/kill story, btw!
