I currently have a 2003 RS6 with 255/35/19's and looking into going with 255/40/19's to get a more forgiving ride and help with the crappy roads in my area......I live in NY and the RS6 is my daily driver.

I would love to see some pics of 255/40/19 mounted if possible. And please include what suspension mods or spacers were added if any.

Thanks for your help.

Not recomended due to Speedo error, etc... The Stock sizes are what you have in 19" size and the last one I listed, 255/40-18".

I run the same as you dannyboy.

I have been wondering if anyone runs a 265 width on a 19x8.5 wheel? Anyone? I don't want the tire to look too "bubbled".

I had 265s mounted mistakenly on 8.5" wheels (I had ordered 9"). It appeared quite normal. But believe me, it was a problem in terms of handling. The tire was moving everywhere while cornering, and when I went to investigate why the hell the car had lost its go-kart handling, I discovered that the rims were 8.5". I was pissed, believe me, and the problem was rectified asap!

Hats off to you, friend Han !, You are the definitive RS6 Encyclopedia. Now that V8weight and DHall1 are gone, the mantle rest on yor shoulders.

I just ordered track shoes for Judas :)

TSW Nurenburgring 18x9.5 ET40 Matte Gunmental, 20lbs per rim so not super light but rotary forged so should be fine.

from here for $256/wheel http://www.wheelwarehouse.com/p-4265-tsw-wheels-nurburgring-matte-gunmetal.aspx

Also ordered some Toyo Proxes R888's in 275/35/18

http://www.racetire.com/products/images/r888.jpg

And 15mm spacers from ECS and 3" stud conversion from 034 Motorsports

Plus some track pads, Hawk DTC70's up front and HP+ in the rear from here: http://hawkbrakesdirect.com/default.aspx?

Not a cheap morning for sure. Hopefully everything will fit and work well, we shall see.

Also I have the Pheaton duct parts here to put in and some carbon air ducts etc to feed them from the front bumper side openings that are not used on my car for intercoolers.

A few other bits and bats to do to get it ready for NEQ at NJMP in a few weeks. Any other RS6 owners going to this event? http://www.neqclub.org/event-calendar/icalrepeat.detail/2012/06/18/61/34/NDQ1MTMxOTdkMjgwMTM0MWFkYTE5ZjAyNzFjNmI2OGM=/new-jersey-motorsports-park-.html
