i have an alcantara steering wheel and shift knob comming

does anyone know how the knob comes off (yes doesn't that sound freaky) :harass:

Push chrome sleeve under the leather down 3/8", pull out button on shifter and pull up on the knob. Before you start make sure you have dental insurance :)

Tozo, thanks for the continued posting and advice, the forum really needs the mechanical knowledge. BTW, my mech got the PS rack out the side, about 8-10 hours, engine stayed in, thanks:)

Very nice! Best to know the airbag will deploy if needed. I didn't know the RS 6 wheel came in alcantara, should look fantastic.

ordered from age styling in sweden , have a alcantara shift knob to match comming too , (from BKS tuning) just incase anyone would like them also

I am following your lead Johnnie. I ordered both as well. Any tips on the steering wheel swap would be great. I would like to do the center armrest in alcantara as well. I will keep you posted.

Definitely interested in tips on the steering wheel pull. I picked up a new bottom cover for the column to repair the pealing rubber coating not realizing that a wheel pull was necessary to change the part.

mate i had a mate (ex audi mech do it ) took in about 17 mins...i can ask hime if there is any tips?? i was not present when he did it sorry
