Please find a downloadable pdf file (~930kB) with pictures and text. Since most of you prefer driving german cars but not reading german I used Babel Fish translator - at least it makes a little more sense (or?)...

The RS6 being build in Neckarsulm (pdf) (http://www.rs6.com/pdf/RS6-being-built.pdf)

(Babel Fish Translation)
Step by step quattro GmbH transforms the the A6 into the RS6. first develops the strongest AUDI of all times on the volumes of the Neckarsulmer of AUDI works. Many modified components such as chassis and engine are already installed there. The turbo-beaconed engine about is supplied by the English AUDI daughter Cosworth. Only some RS6-spezifi details are missing still. That outwardly and technically incomplete cars? are missing for instance bumpers, intercoolers and alloying elements of the chassis? few 100 meters over the AUDI work area one drives and into resounds to the Quattro GmbH haendisch to the RS6 completed. Maximally 30 vehicles produced daily. Additionally for instance the system DRC (dynamic Ride control), intercooler, engine cover, front and tail apron is installed. Because of the changed geometry again fall and trace will measure. Finally the RS6 sample is driven and submitted of a leakage test. Strange: Also the RS6 gets the final wheels with 25ėr-Breite here, because the volumes of the AUDI work permit only maximally 225 mm broad. Thus the RS6 for its short travel keeps more?Ueberfuehrungsraeder?. Click our picture gallery from the inside of the AUDI daughter through!

Pic 1) Without bumpers and further parts the AUDI is brought into Quattro resounding and waits for refinement to the RS6

Pic 2) Also its exposed back opinion shows the future RS6 first uninhibited

Pic 3) As in each workshop the coworkers of the Quattro GmbH jack up the AUDI, in order to be able to attach crucial parts.

Pic 4) First "DRS" becomes, which installs dynamic Ride system for the reduction of brake nodding and side inclination.

Pic 5) Power pressure: Without the additional intercoolers, whose Monatage shows the picture, the AUDI would be far less potent than 450 HP.

Pic 6) Also the enormous 18-inch is later installed, because the AUDI assembly-lines do not permit any more than 225 mm broad.

Pic 7) Still life with leading actor: The new tail aprons stack themselves in the car auto-Manufaktur.

Pic 8) The new tail aprons with their lattice employments are adapted to the vehicle.

Pic 9) After the wheel assembly the attitude of geometry takes place.

Pic 10) But laser beams measure the accurate position of the wheels.

Pic 11) On the rolling road a driving test takes place.
(this means quattro GmbH should be able to tell you the exact horsepower for each car.)

Pic 12) At the end of the 'belt' a finished RS6. :addict:
